LED Lights

Was looking at getting a couple led light fixtures and was wondering if there as good as the adds are making them out to be. I don't want to be wasting what little cash I have so I was looking for advise.

I would say wait it out another year, been haveing trouble w/ node spaceing & array hieght. Ihave a spectra290w & have talked to a lot folks w/ the same issues.

I have just finished my 1st grow using cfl!
It worked great.
Perhaps you should look at that mate.

Cool, thanks for advise been reading about them and checking out posting here and other sights about them. I see were there good for veging but on the flowing there not as good compared to other other lights or am I wrong.

I think it depends.
I had a 250w red with a reflector and a 150w blue just hanging over four Blue Cheese and they did as good as my 400w hid.
I was shocked but delighted.

They are fine, but other options are fine too. I do not see them as better or worse, all things considered.

I have seen some awesome grows with LED, specifically the newer 3w led's. Was a little slower in veg & bloom but great finish.
You need to make sure if you go led to go with the right ones, Cree, brightlux and there is one other I cant remember off top of my head are said to be the best leds for growing.
