LED Lights and Diffusion Film

I've got some apparently powerful LED grow lights in a small space leaving only about 2' from plant to light output. I've read that LED grow lights can cause burning when too close. I plan to train the plants and keep them low as possible. I've also read that light diffusion is great for plants and can increase yield. So I ordered some diffusion film to try and protect the plants and maybe make them happier.

Has anyone done this? I can't find any information regarding LED grow light diffusion in a plant-growth context.

The films I ordered transmit 87% of the light (a huge decrease, I know), with 88% haze (light diffusion). The plan is to grow similar plants in one chamber with these films and one without the films, monitor the growth, and compare yields.

I'd love to hear from anyone with experience doing this. Cheers!

So how did that film work. I have been looking at some 95% transmission rate polycarbonate buy don't know anything about all the patterns and angles that they mention.

Yup! Fresnels are also a good solution because there are many variants with different angles and they will provide up to 94% transmittance. I have tried the small diffusor lenses from Ideal which are addable to the reflector cup but I dont think they are usefull. Output decrease ø 5.000-8.000lx at 18" even in the corners.
I got bleaching only with more as 50.000lx on the canopy.(ø 800+ μmols)
