LED lighting has anyone used in flowering

I'm gonna experiment with LED lighting when my plant goes in to the flowering stage. Has anyone used them before is it a waste of time I thought the buds needed more red light when flowering. I will give it ago and lets wait and see what happens. It will get this plus natural sunlight when flowering.

anyone else heard of or used led light for flowering im gonna give it a go please let me know if u have any knowledge on led lights

im using the 2011 blackstar hydro's 100w led that is specifically made to help out the flower phase..... they just showed sex so i havent raised bud with it yet but the growth change was dramatic.... they LOVE the led lights

Here are some journals successfully using Spectra LED lights from Veg to Harvest. They seem to grow slightly more weed as a mH/HPS set up watt for watt, but the quality of the bud also seems a little better.

There are also a bunch of other growers over there making the switch to growledhydro.com Spectra LED lights (their website is dire needs of updates but the lights are much better now with some sweet 2011 models)

The guy at www.ledgrow.eu has done pretty well with his experimental system. The information is not too well organized but if you read his FAQ and how things went through all of the grows he's done so far, you can get a pretty good idea how it should be done. He's getting surprisingly well results, contrary to what people normally get with the commercial units. (since they're mostly designed to make the seller money, not for growing anything)

Im using custom made led lights from www.plantphotonics.com There expensive but well worth it, i got 1.3g per watt last time and my cabs were only half full!!!! Loads of info on why his lights are the best etc on the site. I dont work with him or anything i just know his lights are good.

This is the first time I've ever said it but... those manufactured lights actually look pretty reputable. I've never seen an LED manufacturer that was not a low quality scam and I've always said that the only LED grow worth even thinking about is one you build yourself after months of research but these guys actually look like they're trying to gain a reputation and they have at least 1 analog electronics engineer working for them!
Anybody else have any first hand experience with plantphotonics lights? It's too late for my system since I've already built it but maybe, maybe next time I'll just outsource to save all the R&D time.

Their web site reflects a minimal knowledge of plant physiology and photomorphology. IMHO, if they did their research better, their conclusions would be somewhat different.
They don't specify how many cheep vs expensive leds they use. Many other holes as well.

Not a win for me...

I have only bloomed with LED since I love the resin production and change in light from MH to LED they freak and go nuts for it.
