Start Off At 36 Inches From Your Seed. If Your Seedling Starts Stretching Lower Light 2 Inches At A Time Till You Get The Node Spacing You Like. Now let Your Plant Grow Up To The Light And In Flower I Suggest No Lower Than 16-18 Inches. :weed:

The answer for kind leds at least is 12+ inches. I left this one at 12 through bud and bleached the top. You can see where i tore it off and there is a littlewhite piece left. Some strains r LIGHT SENSITIVE. example gsc. So 18 inches is probably the best results ive had using a kind 1000w k5. 20151117_131835.jpg

Nice bud, It seems as though I have to leave mine ( 2 Galaxy hydro 300 watt in 4x4x6 ) at 38" or more, any lower I burn the tops.

38!?!?!?!? Wow. I just set mine to about 12 to 14. My Galaxyhydro 300 just showed up today so they've been under it for about an hour now. Running very cool compared to the CFL.

Hey Kevin, how are you doing with your GalaxyHydro, I just harvested 4 auto flowering skunk, my lights had to be set at 36 to 40 inches, any lower and all plants would suffer from to much light, all leaves would show yellow at the tips, samba light as you.
Can you keep me updated on how you fair out, much appreciated. Thanks.

I just harvested a random buddha seeds auto from their variety pack and previously ran a couple of photo period plants on the galaxy hydro 300. I set it and haven't moved it yet. If plants get burnt by this light, I don't notice it. Decent yields and the light was cheap. All the LEDs are still working, it doesn't get hot, vastly superior to the CFL panel I had built before swapping to LED. The only drawback is that the plants seem to need a bit more of a cal/mag supplement, but that's really not a big deal.
For the price, I'm very happy with my light. Pretty good chance that I'll be getting 2 or 3 more in the not too distant future. I'm not sure what height I ended up with. I'll try to remember to measure it today.
