LED light for a 4'x4' tent

Whos having success growing in a 4'x4' tent?
What light are you using? You happy with it?
What lights DID NOT work for you?
First-timer here trying to figure out a GOOD light, not necessarily the BEST light, definitely not a JUNK light, that WON'T disappoint.

Lurk the grow journal forum - search 4x4 . You will find what growers use and results. This way you can narrow down choices.

Soooo many choices these days, even the companies that spent years selling junk are making reasonable lights that produce .

I would run any choices past members before buying. Don't rush into anything

pretty much any 480w-640w led will do the trick in that space.

I would recommend a bar style light for the best light distribution.
Company wise Mars Hydro or HLG have some good entry level lights. If you're trying to drop over $1k per light i would do your own research into Gavita, Growers Choice, SynceLED, or Fluence.

I wouldnt go less that 600w per 4x4 section. Im at 800w per 4x4 at home. Once you're dialed in and have C02 you could run 1000w.

I have gone with a Mars Hydro FC E8000 in my 5 x 5 tent.
There's a shortage of decent lights here in Thailand at the moment due to the recent legalisation of cannabis. Would have preferred one with the Samsung / Osram chipset but hey ho, beggars can't be choosers.

Really good light I am a master electrician. Don’t believe the reviews. Great driver,Samsung Diodes, very well put together.

Very affordable, don’t pay for an name. All materials are of good quality.

How does this light do w temps does it run pretty hot? I just picked up a pair of them curious

You will sit around 85F with the driver mounted outside the tent at 100% power in a 4x4 (at least that’s what mine warms up to)
With AC on in the room, I can get it as low as 77F at 100% power while extraction is running mid level + 1 vent open on the bottom.
