ah cool, glad you tried some decent led. yeah environment is kinda important under any light...oh well.
I get through a fair bit and using LED/COB could not keep my jars full because 5 months of the year I struggle with the cold. They do work well but just not for my situation.

Additional heating worked out expensive using the LED/COB so back to basics which I actually prefer and the jars are fuller than ever.

I'm happy.

all about them full jars. i keep my ambients up and run lights at night and im good all winter. seen people put filters down low in the UK with leds to save on heating. sounds like its too late though, man.

One light is a good starting point. I use a Eye Hortilux SHPS until 2nd week two of flowering then change the bulb to a Agro Sun Red with a 2050k color spectrum. When I go into flower I run a 13 on 11 off cycle. Temp is around 76f and humidity is around 50 percent.

Im lost as to why people need the additional heat of HPS in colder months.. Just dial back the extraction fan, you don't need a wind tunnel to keep the CO2 levels up, the added humidity from the lower air exchange you can just get a dehumidifier..
Depends where u grow, i can be 0C if i wasnt running a lamp at night.

No time for reg seeds when there is so many fems out there.

No time for males to be honest.

No point unless your making your own seeds

a lot of the top breeders dont mess with fems cause they used to get a bad rep.
Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

Let's be honest though, once you know good weed you know it. With all the strains on the market you could be fucked up on what to ever grow.

I've been at it long enough to know that I know what smokes nice, grows nice and also know quality.

I have my strains and seed banks of which I am more than happy so no sense at all me doing reg seeds when I know there will be males that I don't need. Total waste of time and money for me.

After all, the weed will be no better than what I grow now so totally pointless for me.

Each to their own though and growing good weed is the aim for all of us and I must say I'm very happy with my produce.

@KK26 depends what youre into i guess.

i like Bodhi cause he travels the world coveting seeds others dont. when he's not doing that he gets handed some of the best cuts around cause hes such a well respected guy. he doesnt do fems but the variety and chance to hunt those far fetched genetics isnt something most offer.

With all the strains on the market you could be fucked up on what to ever grow.
yeah for sure, wasnt too long ago it was this,

All very true and also fascinating but you can get too caught up in it all if you know what I mean.

Different topic but same scenario, Marine Tank Keeping.... I am so far into it but I now have no tanks at all. What I had over the years was perfect with hindsight until I knew too much and wanted more. Chasing numbers to keep perameters in line and also wanting the very best corals and fish. They all don't mix the same and disappointment come with frustration then it all get ruined and it pisses you off.

Similar to growing, you want the best and fuck ups happen but if your goal has been hit and you personally think the is not way of bettering it plus your satisfied why not stop there?

That's where I am now are all these years and with hindsight in mind. I really do not think I can grow better weed by venturing into the unknown with reg seeds I have no use for. I know I can't and or not even prepared to filter males out regardless of generics.

Nearly All the strains under the sun are are available now in some form so I'll keep to what satisfies me after years of hindsight fuck ups.

The Orange Punch is lovely pal, really is and always have a few jars in the pantry. Time to restock hence these 2 plants squeezed in

So all I have to do is reduce airflow, and buy an additional piece of equipment to adjust for the loss of airflow that will take up more space in my tent and use more electricity. That does seem better than just using an HID light.

its not that i want the best, thats preference, i'm into variety and uniqueness

im not saying regs are better, man.
Same thing in my book, you would not prefer it if you didn't like it so a person's preference will always be the best within one's capabilities however that maybe.

I prefer fem seeds because, after growing a long time, I an produce weed consistently which at very least matches or more often surpasses all the other weed I have ever smoked in my life. Worldwide weed.

Bit of an insight, I'm 50, work hard from home and lived in 3 different continents for more than 7 years each.

What I am really trying to say is I've smoked much weed for the last 35 years and I really don't think I can beat my homegrown and if that is with fems then that makes me happy with wasting precious time with males.

It's what I do and a appreciate what you do also.

We are growers man and we get to the a me point but a different journey.
