Led + hps any tips?

hey everyone, i have a 400 w hps light covering 4 plants in a 4x4 closet.

the catch is it's on half the closet, the other side is a 55 w LED panel, titled to try and cover all 4 plants, so essentially all 4 get both lights, but 2 get majority HPS, and the others majority LED, kinda cool experiment going on ( a race...) i will post pics,

any tips on cycling the lights? i'm entering the second week of veg, and the tallest is 11 inches, the shortest, 9.5 inches. and the lights are on 24 hrs.

when i switch to flowering should i split? or put them on at the same time? any info would be much appreciated. thanks.

Your vegging with an hps?

hps will work fine for veg, betterthan anything cept MH,anyway. try to rotate man, led is good for many plants but its really not the best for marijiuana...u want hps brother

I would use EcoPlus 150 watt Fluorescent Grow Lamp that's my opinion if you don't mind spending a little bit.

well i just figured, the added red and blue light spectrums may help add a real full light source.
the hps is way more over powering, and the area may actually just be 3x3, not 4x4 like i stated before.... the LED is more an accessory, the plants under it seem to becoming a little bit more bushy, whereas under the HPS, the plants are growing vertically..

i beg to differ about the led being bad for weed, it is not great for flowering but for veg with enough they make verry healthy impressive plants, but even better they are a great supplemental light. i used them around the sides in my last grow and the plants had an insane amount of resin production, and really full deep green growth all around without the extra heat. hps+led is a great combo. just dont flower with only led unless you have the money to spend on a 100 to 300 watt procyon light.

thanks, sounds like thats what i'm gonna do, i'll just start positioning my panel around the plants as a compliment to the 400 w hps,
iwas thinking though about maybe an hour of led first, then 11 more of hps and LED, once flowering begins. yay? nay?
