led heat vs hps

ok . I am looking at all the research I can find I am still lost. a 1200 watt led pulls about 600 watts . so it will make about 600 watts of heat but is not burning a gas inside the bulb . so the heat will be much less . all the numbers I am seeing if I were to have 2 led lights pulling 1000 watts total would make more btu of heat then a hps light , I am going by the mars hydro website they post heat btu per model and going with what I can find off the net saying a 1000 watt hps creates about 3400 btu . I think that's bs I though way more like 5000 btu for a non air cooled hood . what are you opinions , I think the info I am finding is bs

What I am saying. Mars hydro must have i inputed some numbers incorrectly . I'm burning a 1200 watt led. By meizhi heat is barley noticeable . I would guess I could run 6 of them for the same amount of heat of the 1000 HP's.

600w of LED doesn't put out 600w of heat. You have to subtract the energy that is output as light, usually something like 30-50% depending on how hard you drive them.
