First of all, I do not have room for a 4 x 4, (am I a newb because I do not have room for a 4 x 4? No) and secondly, you will not get anything if you use an 80 watt LED in a 4 x 4, you'd still need around 1000 watts. I have a little more than 80 watts, well a lot more, and in an area smaller than a 4 x 4, I do not need or want a 4 x 4, I am happy with my grow situation, I have enough weed for me to smoke, and I never run out. You can't tell me how to grow, you do not know me, or my situation, or where I live, hell, even what country I live in. And I am not old, I am less than 40. Older than you it seems like based on your hostility and immaturity with your name calling and dick size contests. If you don't like LEDs, don't use them, no one is forcing you. But you can not change my mind, and I'll be damned if you think you can force me to change my mind.

Use whatever you want, use a fire if you want to, I do not care if I am the only LED user in the world, I do not benefit from others using or buying LEDs. I am happy, and that is what counts to me.

I will defend growers and their choices though. Can't we all just band together already and get this shit legalized? Or fight over whoever has the best light?

Do you know how many "old timers" come into the store talking about out dated info and just plain wrong info?? Happens all the time....... Yes a LED uses Less heat Yes it uses Less energy les it uses some benifital light rays that you dont get from HPS and MH yes yes yes but that dosent mean you put them stright up agaisnt each other that the LED will out preform it because it will NOT......so yes if you cant have a "real" light or a "real" fan then ok a LED would be better then a 1000w but that dosent mean ITS BETTER then a 1000w LOL.....

You guys arent looking at the big picture here............

You MISSED the whole POINT.........THE POINT is that if you put a led side by side with a 1000w in a 4x4 and heat and fans is not an issue , the led will not out preform...... IS ANYONE EVEN ABLE TO READ???? i clearly stated that LEDS are COOLER, use less ENERGY, and have Light rays that HPS dosent have but that DOSENT mean it will out preform a regular grow........ Now your just being difficult really......

ilL SAY IT ONCE MORE.......I NEVER said LEDS dont have any use.....i clearly said that if you put them side by side and HEAT , and FANS are NOT an issue then a 1000w will yield more....this is commen sense and no matter how many times i repeat myself you will just respond with " i like leds and you can grow any way you want dont try and change how i grow" LOL
no ones telling you not to use LEDS we are simply telling you what LEDS are good for and what there not good for......... but once again you just DONT GET IT......no suprise there... and im 30 by the way.......if that matters..... my age has nothing to do with the fact that Leds are ok for curtin things but no a "CURE ALL"

Alright, no none is trying to prove anything to YOU, YOU came to this thread just to talk crazy. YOU are trying to prove to US as LED users that LEDs do not outperform HPS. So, YOU prove to us it wont. Do a side by side. Or show us some side by sides that are already done with good LEDs. Just telling us in CAPS it doesn't work doesn't convince me, matter of a fact, me and a bunch of friends are sitting around laughing at YOU because of your little outbursts. Why do you want us to use what you use that bad? Self esteem issues? Need something to make you feel better about yourself? Get laid and smoke a bowl dude. Works for me.

No side-by-side needed to know LEDs Cannot and Will Not out produce a HPS lighting system. :) But that does not mean we need to Slam people for any reason, I am fond of LEDs.. but would not use them until they are literally 100% better output wise. Continue with the Good Convo.

If there are ten people in a room and someone asked a general knowlage question and 9 people give the same answer and one person gives a different answer by your logic that means nothing.....LOL........ but by normal logic one would come to the conclusion that just MAYBE the 9 people with the EXACT same answer is right and the ONE person with the different answer is wrong.......

Just another food for thought to help prove what i already said about "why i care what the other 95% of growers are doing" ...f once again offering logic and facts and some sort of thought into why i think what im thinking....still waiting for you to say something besides " dont tell me how to grow"" lol...... soon as you do that ill stop calling you a noob.....

Don't bother with him, you know you're right. I know I am right. And all the other LED users that are happy with their LEDs know they're right. He probably isn't even an adult.

I would like to see some proof though, if he puts something up, let me know, and I'll take him off my ignore list long enough to look at it.

I am entertained with this. Doesn't matter what kind of forum we are on, there will always be someone to come along to scream how much better than they are than others, and usually accompanied with poor grammar. They are called internet trolls. They will not go away, they get banned, and come back as a new person, and start all over again. Some internet trolls are more tolerable than others. Some are actually entertaining in a good way, like Raw.

Dude, I read everything I respond to. Sometimes I will not address the entire post, especially if I do not agree with it. I am not new to forums, just new here.

If someone comes to my house, or even a house I hang out at with like minded folk, and tells us a [blank] is better than some other [blank], they better either prove it or get out.

Replace house with thread, and blank #1 for HPS, and blank #2 for LEDs. This is an LED thread, you came here to tell us that LEDs do not perform the same as HPS. Clearly you are not an LED user, you are in a foreign neighborhood. Are you an HPS salesman? If not, then what's the big deal?

The OP is entitled to that opinion. You are entitled to disagree as well, but you went about it in a way that was rude. And breaking the site rules with name calling.
