Led grow mini split btu

Yes I have a grow I’m setting up I’m gonna be using 12 gavita 1700 leds they take 645 whatts each also I will have a quest 165 dehumidifier that gives off some heat on the sides I’m gonna get a mini split to cool the room but I don’t no how many btus will be good I was thinking 30000 btu

So you’re going to be close to the limit honestly with a 3 ton. The quest 165 will be way under what you need. however how many plants are you planning? What medium, pot size?

So a 36000 btu should be good I will have 18 plants in there probably 15 or 20 gallon pots and Mother Earth coco per lite 70/30

I can only grow 36 plants so 28 in veg and 18 in flower
I’d run dairy doo. Blend 201 and 301 and rock it. It’s what I run here in Oklahoma get the best flavor / terpene production it’s what I ran in Michigan and had ppl beating my door down.

do you think this is a good way to set up this room for 18 plants trying to yeild as much as I can with 18 plants also do u think a 165 quest is not enough

Work out how much water you are going to feed your plants every week. And then Divide that number by the days of the week so you have the amount of water you put in your garden on avg per day. Then you size your dehumidifier to be able to remove at least that amount or more.

Let's do an example.

Let's say you water each plant 2x per week with 5 gallons. You got 2(feed days)x 5(feed amount)x 18 (plant number)=180 gallons

So you got 180 gallons a week you put in the garden so per day that's 180/7= 26 gal.

So you should get a dehumidifier that can pull 26 gallons or 208 pints/day or more.

haha. This dude just wants to know what size to buy, and is trying to be patient and respectful despite having to answer unnecessary questions and getting nutrient tips instead.

Because in a setup like this it matters. The questions I asked are all needed info at the bare minimum to setting up a big style grow.

I count the avg outside humidity as well and factor that in to get a better idea of what's needed. This way you don't undersized your unit a.s can keep up well enough.

Yes that's good advice.
Although I imagine the RH in Michigan would be pretty similar to where I live in canada so incredibly low this time of year.

It is in MI it depends on where your located being close to traverse where I was I had a good bit of water around every where which caused the rh to be higher than normal.just recently had to fire my hvac guy because he didn't setup my dehumidifiers like I wanted and put some in that were far too small because he thought he was right. Well come to find out the way I figure it out was on point and I'm currently replacing( well adding and using the others for backups) to get my rooms controlled how I want them.

Yea man thanks for all the info I think I’m gonna get a quest 205 or 225 and for ac I think a 30000 btu might be good
