i was just woundering if any one had used l.e.d lights to grow there plants or am i best just to get a 400w hps?????

im growin with leds
im not impressed and dont recomand for young plants
they perform better for flowerin cauz 9 of 10 are red color and for veg blue is better

dude move your led's at least 1 inch, i said 1 inch away asap! your plants are stretching bad. leds are suppose to just about touch the lights without no burn. your plants will grow crazy fast if you move the light down to the plants. dont overwater either.
well i put the light at like 1inch and its pretty hot the hydroton dryin within minuts
how many water should i giv?
well i wanted to light my 10x10 room with the 4x 300w but i think it wont be enuff.. im tryin to find a new setup to add with leds
any suggestions welcome

they were trying to compare the 300watts to a 1500 hps.. is that just total BS??
suggest maybe a light track and 600w halide as supplimental lighting and blue spectrum..or maybe alternate3 t-5's 4ft 8bulbs.. with alternating veg bloom bulbs and the 300watt led in between each.. placed right on top of the canopy

You've invested a lot and I've heard great things about LEDs. I would probably invest in a straight blue LED or 2 to compliment what you already have.
I don't think the plants should be within an inch from the bulbs either. I'd have to check but I'm sure it's a lot further than that.
Don't give up. Looks like you are close to having a state of the art setup there.

and if i put led at 1inch of the plant the radius is so small...idk what to do cauz right now the plants under the 90wufo is like 2 feet above plants are not growin much slower then the plants under the 300w at 2 inch
i really dont kno wat to think lol
manucfacturer say its good for like 50 sqaure feet.. i dont rly believe thatMail the manufacturer and ask them. They will know what's best.
I saw a review of the 225 units that said to have the plants 16 inches from the lights. I'll look for a link for you.
