My advice is if you are sold on LEDs is that you learn how to build your own lights. I have switched almost entirely to LEDs for my grows. Hit up the led sub forum in indoor growing. Read a lot I repeat read a lot then ask your questions people in there are real cool.

Never had good luck on the flower side huh? Why is that what makes LED good for VEG but not Flower what are they lacking??

I've found they work well in flower with the red spectrum. Not as big but it works. I did my first grow with LED IN 2011 and got ok results. I'm sure they are better now, and I'm better too. I might try a winter indoor grow with a new panel. If you wanna use it to produce volume I'm not sure if LEDS are the way to go.

My $.02 is that inside my 2x2x4' grow box with my$250 led setup I got 220g of dried northern lights. I can't imagine complaining about that. It was scrogged by the way.

What is your take on growth and UV that the hioptix puts out. Oh and that another thing why do people think LED doesn't emit UV?

My very crude veg setup consists of a Chinese 6500k 30w led and a blue 9w aquarium led light bar inside the same cab above. Regardless of what you hear LEDs don't emit UV in any quantity usable by plants. Now some phosphor sprays and coatings over a lens of a high power led can work. Give up on the idea of getting a sufficient amount of uv from LEDs. Get a reptile light and save the money. Just because a particular light spectrum might make something fluoresce doesn't mean UV.
