LED Failure! PLEASE HELP!

Alright gang so my 600W LED panel I was using to veg I noticed was a little dim this morning. When I looked only 2 of the 7 strips of LEDs were lit up... I got the panel off eBay and the seller doesn't offer any sort of replacement or refund...

I was going to switch to flower this week but with a crap lamp, I'm going to wait until I get my replacement. First question, does anyone have recommendations on where to get a replacement? Warranty and quality are important to me but so is price as this grow is on a little bit of a tight budget. I'll also likely need expidited shipping so that will be another expense...

Second question, is there anyway to get the shot light to work? I'm not super handy but I've built a number of things and am comfortable taking things apart, soldering can be tricky but I have a guy who will do that for me if I need it done.

Also as always any additional comments, criticisms, funny jokes at my expense etc. are welcomed along with advice.

Thanks!

Ya I played the hps game but in summers where I'm at the heat spikes are too much, trying to stick to dependable LEDs

for flowering or vegging this may be a cheap alternative http://www.ebay.com/itm/1000W-600W-400W-Watt-MH-HPS-Grow-Light-Digital-Wing-System-Set-Kit-for-Ballast-/281782742087?var=&hash=item419b8f6c47:m:m8y-vpcPfEhVLP9Fhzvxt5Q use the MH for veg and the hps for flowering. if heat is a problem you may want to consider this http://www.ebay.com/itm/322163381482?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=511073550648&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT both are time proven and have produced good crops.if you want to use LEDs you are going to need to spend $600 or more to get a reliable one. stay away from cheap LEDs on E-bay or amazon.as you have already learned they are not reliable. hope this was helpful

If you're going to go the way of cheap blurples, try this route instead, results will be much better. I've run one of these in my breeding tent for 2 1/2 years with no issues. Remove the glass cover, attach a plug and you have 200w of COBs for the price of a heat sink. I originally bought one for the heat sink since it was delivered at that price, cheaper than buying a heat sink in Canada. Remember, these are actual wattage not blurple "equivalent" wattage, you'll only need a 200 or 300w.

You're not going to get the performance of the newer cree, vero or even citizen COBs but I've done 1 gpw with them, not bad for the price and better flowering capabilities than any blurple panels.

Thanks for the leads guys! I think I'm going to get one of those T-5 setups mauricem00 recommended and roll from there. Seems like a good price and simple. Also thanks for the heads up on other types of lighting, admittedly I have never heard of COB and that right there is why I keep my questions to the newbie forum! Once I harvest I will definitely look into upgrading my lights... living and learning...

Get one off of Amazon. GalaxyHydro, MarsHydro, Roleadro, all are inexpensive but well supported.

As for getting the light to work, open it up and take a look inside, see if anything is amiss. Could just be nothing more than a loose wire. If you happen to be in the Portland OR area I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Thanks man! Ya unfortunately I'm in the southwest so more than a stone's throw away... I've got a buddy who is a lighting specialist by day and he said the same thing. Likely a loose wire or a problem with a fuse is what he had told me. The plan is my light from amazon should be here tomorrow. Following that install I'll crack the LED panel and see what we got.

You won't be disappointed with cobs. I switched from HPS to cob because of heat and won't look back. It's really nice not changing bulbs and not having to run a fan to vent the heat!

T5s are really only good for veg, they won't produce a lot in flower. I second the Mars hydro they come with a 1year warranty from purchase date and they're reliable.
cant beat 70$.
look up tykes Mars grow he got over 5oz from one light 2 times.
