wow... guys... thanks to you both.... it's crazy how different are your experiences ..... :D

Maybe he changed a few things after the first few panels were out? don't know !

@digimidgi, I bet you are happy with plantphotonics .... any more comments and/or pics on that?
Maybe I got an early version but i don't think so. I didn't
expect to have to have an additional fan to keep it cool.... never the less
it provides quality light:)

I'll upload some pics soon.

Yeah Jubiare..........quite different opinions, but I wonder why he says"cheap circle board" and its a rectangular metal core pcb?? and why does he specifically state "80mm fans's" when its just one????
hopefully he replies back or shows a pic that he owns it.........
hahahaa, funny. My bad english that's all.
Pics on the way

Mine most definiately is a plastic circuit board and NOT a metal core board.

Anyway i'm not here to disagree.. but to learn..

well I hope you are not here to bash that panel and praise the others just for the sake of "interests" but for a real firsthand experience? We gotta give credit to your opinion, but don't disappoint us with false drama.... a pic of the panel + pics of what you discredit about it would be nice for the community. Peace

Well I'm not dismantling the panel just for your sake but i will take a picture of the panel, as it's in use at the moment.
I'm not really bashing the panel as it's got quality LED's and it's sold by an honest hard working individual, i just wanted to point out a few issues that could of been
addressed before being made available to the public, mainly, the gap between the 80mm fan isn't big enough and the fan is a rather cheap noisy one.
And I guess I should of realized passive cooling meant having to add an addition fan to the top as it feel dangerously hot.

Well i'm not asking you to dismantle it(It's a eurotronix mcpcb)........"it's in use at the moment" so it's been a couple hours and............nada
I don't even like Hans (well his customer service to be fair) but I think (don't know if it delivers yet) it's great panel for the price...........
"dangerously hot" Is absolutely NOT what I have experienced with it in sealed room with fan off/panel on full power/candle lit and 85 temps outside when I was testing it; was warmish at most..........the fan's spacing anyone could see that closeup of it in my thread.............Yes NOW I do want pics!.................I'll be waiting:fire:

Thanks:) I'm very proud:) but wish i has more height.
My panel must have an issue then. And maybe the fan was loose when it arrived and i assumed that was how it was.
I presume you have yours on full flower setting?

Should be fine. Maybe other issue's? PH?
It may be, but tbh i'm just not seeing the classic signs of this...........thanks for the advice digi/ needed as your the only other person I've seen with this panel.......What are your overall thoughts on its performance for a 56w light?????

I can't really say right now. Ask me in 5 weeks.
I think they are good value compared to all those UFO lights but
i think he needs to add more hyper red (660nm).
If i could go back in time i would of saved a bit more money and bought another
70w from phantphotonics. But i think Han's panel is very capable
of producing good results for 1 plant or a few small plants.
I will probably use it as side lighting or mother/clone light and
get another 70w from pp. Have you actually run the panel on the full flower setting for a while?

Here's a link to the seller I bought my custom spectrum Apollo 8 from
http://www.aliexpress.com/product-gs/512300907-free-shipping-factory-wholesale-led-plant-grow-lights-apollo-8-wholesalers.html
$367, three weeks from order to delivery. Here's my specs (per 15 led module)-
4 Red 660nm (90 degree)
6 Red 620-630nm (90 degree)
1 Blue 450-470nm (120 degree)
2 Blue 420-430nm (120 degree)
2 White 10000K (120 degree)

I'm not a shill, but I've not seen any other deal that even comes close. The actual draw on the panel comes around 260w. It is flowering 3 plants (with 120w 2700k/6500k cfl's to fill in spectrum) amazingly. The heat issue alone is compelling, but the performance I'm getting makes it a decision I'm very glad I made.

American led companies are woefully overpriced (I hate to say that) and most of them are importing their product anyway. When you can customize your own spectrum and cut out the middleman, how can you go wrong? The Apollo panel is a solid, proven design and relatively simple to take apart. I've seen some DIY mods of the panel that really have me thinking (rasser).

Anyway, it is an awesome deal and I'm very satisfied with the performance. Go Apollo!

Would love to see your set up & curious to see the results.
I bought a few led panels from hong kong and had nothing but bad luck.
All arrived with a broken power supply (only half the led's worked)

I would love to show it, but I won't. The law is harsh in my repressive state. The police might say, "Wow, that's purty!" right before they thow me under the jail. Feel free to doubt me , but until the law changes, I won't be providing any photographic "evidence".
That said, I love to further the knowledge and have gotten loads of great info from RIU, most especially those who document their grows with pics. Jah bless you.

As for the quality of the Chinese lights, I don't know- mine is great and the Apollo design seems very sound to me, but no doubt there is variation in the quality control of these various manufacturers. All I can state with certainty is that my experience has been positive. Also, the seller I used (linked in earlier post) uses paypal, which I considered a great advantage over Cidly.
