So I just wanted to update. I have now received my area 51 panel as well as my lumigrow 650, and I am impressed with both units. Just a couple things on both: Area 51- seems to be a nicely built panel. Very quiet, seems to put off a tiny bit more heat than I was expecting, certainly not bad at all though. Very pleasant light to work under, just put a Purple Wreck under it to flower, will let you know how it does... Lumigrow 650- this thing is freakin bright! Not the most pleasant light, especially when turned all the way up, its almost disorienting... I do like that it has the white only switch, but by the time I open the tent and hit the switch, everything already looks weird. Definitely a very solid feeling unit, and I was relieved that coverage isn't an issue in a 4x4. Am replacing a 600w rig in there, we'll see how they compare. No journals, but I may post some pics from time to time...

I know that at nasa they were having vertigo issues from red/blue LED's if they were working under them for too long. Just shows that what light is good for one is not always good for others...lumens vs par specific light.

Lumens are good for humans; bad for plants.
Par is good for plants; bad for humans.

Hey does anyone use CIDLY OR BSLED?? Like a few of there lights just not sure how to pay since they don't take CC.. Don't really like sending 1000+ western union or money orders.. Like the Phantoms and they Apollo 8 10 or 12.. Cheap prices.. But the lights look very well built.. And BSLED has Jumbo UFOs and there 280w Skinny bar.. There prices are great to since somebody else sells them for 3-4X as much.. Just want to know what you think if there trust worthy or not as far as sending money orders, western union?? Has anyone had a problem with there lights??

What Brand LED's are those Vipar panels using?
You know B I was under the impression that VIPAR was going to be a little more open with their info this generation and I can't find anything off-hand. Alex always seems to have some extra info and I think he was planning on getting one. He may know. Where is that boy BTW ;)? Anyway maybe it's time for me to send them an email and ask? Let's see what they say.

If you haven't emailed them yet, you should ask them for parts numbers for the LEDs that they use.

I was kind of excited to see what their new series would be....
