^^^Imagine how many spots Chronikool can buy for that kind of money? He'd be blind in an hour! LOL

"proprietary 3rd generation blend of five different chip wavelengths" Puh-leez

Edit: Fuck, I got to say it, "The SOL series, cause ya shit outta luck if you buy one."

SWITCH Lighting Wins Popular Science "Best of What's New" Award (LED Lightbulbs)
http://switchlightingco.com/releases.html

Popular Science test link
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/gadgets/tests/incandescent-vs-compact-fluorescent-vs-led-ultimate-light-bulb-test#slide-14

For LED's go to page 14. If interested in all ratings start from page 1 for the ratings of
incandescent and fluorescents.

Can be bought here along with many other brands. Seems kind of priced high so look around before buying from here.

looks like Apple designs Growlights (I-POT)
It really does!! haha.... shit... I dono.. Im hearing a lot of big hype about larger watt emitters, and I originally got into the LED side of things because I couldn't afford my electric bill being suspiciously high, or want to pay for 1k w's of HID...

The 3....5's, cool. Little extra penetration. thats what she said. but LED's were all about efficiency at one point... and now I feel like companies are creating these larger chips just to prove they can give HID results; which, personally, that shouldn't be their directive.

I was just wanting some of the more educated guesses as to why this is happening; are they really trying to get HID results? or trying to blend wavelengths from one diode? Idk...

HydroGrow no bueno, I feel like it has a USB port that folds out..

'It's' lights look vg to me BUT "Patent Pending PLEASE-With Hydro Grow's patent-pending modular manufacturing process, LED and power supply failures remain isolated." and proprietary diode blend?

Well gag me.

My BrandX girls are doing just fine under ~ 45w of WW screw bulbs. 2 are RP, one is 6.5w SM globe removed

Hard to imagine 'it' could get a patent for a process that already is in production

I was going to experiment with 5 floods @ 50w/: the china price was reasonable, but the shipping was > $150, driving the overall price in the $800 range, so 'it's price isn't out of line

Fusion reflector? I smell a gimmick.

Has anyone else read the horrible things that the HydroGrow owner has supposedly done in the past? I stumbled across some different stories when I was researching LEDs, it sounds like she's pretty scandalous.

All I can say...karma is a bitch.

I paid $45 each for my 50w floods. So $315 delivered. Were you getting custom ones Pet?

I wanted 5 total; one in each corner and one in the middle top (2 X 4 tent). If I had 4 X 4+ I would have considered it, but shopped price here in USA

Oh, they said I needed 7 minimum + shipping

Probably a blessing, as I am amazed at how well mine are doing under 45w, plus, with the extenders I can watt up if needed.

Hilo has an amazing grow going with a single 28 watt panel, but his are high bin individual diodes. More DIY than I am prepared to do

Clearly you are the better hunter. I see the spots on flexible extenders lighting the plant/s on angles for fat buds below the canopy. The price is redankulous

Perhaps you would start a thread using this combination titled: Panels? We Don't Need No Stinkin Panels
