This is my second real grow using FF Ocean forest and trio nutes. 1 Barney’s farm critical kush, and 1 plant white label Acapulco Gold. Currently day 62 of flower, thinking I should wait until next Sunday to chop. Wanted to check with you all to see whatcha think. Appreciate the feedback and hopefully will help set my mind at ease leaving the girls at this stage!

Timing can really get you with harvest, I feel for you and have been in the same situation.

Here is some good news, some people leave there plants without water a few days before harvest, they say the stress increases potency. They turn the lights off and let the plant start to die. I'm not sure I'd leave the plants in darkness for 6 days, but if you can figure out a way to schedule your lights off for the last 3 days, this may work for you. Basically you'd be allowing the plant to live with water for a few more days and then go without water and light for the last 3 days....

Day 62 for early flowering strains sounds just about right, and that final week may make all the difference.... What strain is it and what is the estimated flower time? Are you seeing clear or cloudy trics (on the buds) now? Have the pistols turned brown curling in, or are they still white?

One way or another I think another week or two will really help potency and final bud weight.... Harvesting early with clear trics is a real shame !

Late note: I looked at the pics you provided (nice pics by the way)) it looks like your real close with cloudy trichomes. I'd still try to stretch it out another week if you can, but harvesting now won't be a total loss.. One the other end, if you just water and leave the plants alone for 6 days, they might die, but your getting ready to chop now anyway, so its a win/win.... Who knows, they might make it through 6 days without you.

Thanks for the info, that’s really helpful. I have the self watering bases, so I think I’ll let em ride till I get back. Between the bases and watering before leaving I should be covered for about 5 days. My conditions are pretty well controlled and know they’ll be fine. Just sucks to leave them when they this close and have helicopter parented these girls for months. Hopefully have a nice harvest when get back!!

They look ready.. I wouldn’t leave them another week unless you get super high wind flow in the area to combat rott
The harvest window is not that short, the reality here is that he could harvest now or later and everything would be fine. An extra week at the end can add some weight and may show a few ambers, which is a good middle ground. harvesting now would be on the early side or the harvest window, next week would be the middle of the harvest window, and it could be stretched out another week (more or less) or so for a later harvest...(amber time)

There are no wrong answers here !

Nice, you sound like your all set then. It will be a real treat to come home from your trip to a perfectly ripened plant !

I hear you but unfortanatly ive had to chop with mold more often than id like to of had due to pushing them a little while longer than really needed and not having enough ventilation in the room.
