All I can say is have fun. Drink eat and have a good time.... NO , No on the smoke or anything else. Don't even ask.
I was a frequent traveler to China till the economy went bad.
The government isn't to friendly on this matter.
Just a harsh example. In 2005 when I was there doing business. The government paraded 2 Nigerians and 2 Chinese nationals on TV. They had smuggled a lot of meth into the country in a shipping container. From what the news said they were tried and executed the next day.

Just have fun, enjoy and keep an open mind.

Oh.... before I forget. Don't drink the water....Drink only bottle water...tea is ok since it was boiled..trust me on this...spent a few time in the squatty potty ( Not an american toilet- a hole in the floor) Recommend looking for a Mc Donald or KFC if you need a bathroom. ( Carry you own tissue - most shitter have no TP - you have been waned)

For gods sake don't drink what they call White wine from northern China. It is not made from grapes. More powerful than Everclear !
I drank 2 shots and next thing I knew. I was swiping my VISA card in my hotel room door for at least 10 min. Once in my room I passed out on the floor. Woke up the next evening between the entrance to the bathroom and the bedroom. The hang over is one I will never forget...makes my head hurt just thinking about it.... LOL

To have a good time in China...you just have to have a open mind.

To bad your not going there single... OMG...! That place can be a paradise for a single guy.

I could see that, women would think you had a huge dick compared to an asian.

Went there several years ago. It was a great trip. It's amazing how much they have built over there. Incredible bridges, roads, buildings etc. Great food too, I just don't like those greasy little dried fish.
My wife and I got a lot of stares while we were there but just curious stares. My wife is asian and I am not....apparently this was new to them.
Have a great time, just be respectful, you know what I mean.
If you are going to the south (near Myanmar and Vietnam) you may want to think about malaria pills if it is warm weather. They are cheap insurance. I believe that Guizhou is not too far from there. Hopefully though mosquito season is about over.

nice! i had peking duck when i was there haha i had alot of weird shit since my family is chinese we had like sea cucumber and jellyfish and weird shit haha deffinitly walk down the night market by wanfujing you will see crazy stuff! like live scoprions that they will fry infront of you to eat. they have bull testys, starfish, snake, alot of stuff haha
i wouldnt buy an ipad tho i saw someone say brng that back one haha but when i was there i herd of alot of fake apple stores. since china is HUGE on counterfits they even have apple counterfit stores! that look like a normal store but is not real. the people that want you to buy shit are so annoying these guys wouldnt leave me alone for 20 min trying to sell me fake watches first they started at 100 yuen and then went down to 10! haha its so annoying tho
