Leaves keep curling… broad mites?

Until you have a definitive ID on the pest, pathogen, or problem, I'd find a way to get the affected plants away from your healthy ones. Its puzzling for sure. I wonder if the damage is sporadic due the amount of outdoor predators beating them back. Or is its a root issue, or heat stress as others have surmised?
I'm gonna follow along til conclusion.
Really hope you get them them squared away.

Also, if it were russet mites you would have no trouble seeing them with a 40x scope, you can see actually see them without a scope if you had an infestation this bad, plus all your preflowers would have a brownish tinge to them while yours still look green.

Hey, Waterproof808, I just want to really thank you for stepping in and showing me the details. Not a lot of people are willing to do that in today world. I had seen different examples online, but often picture quality is rough or not zoomed in enough. I can totally see what you are saying with your pics.

Really good into on the blisters with the broad mites. I had read that, but wasn't sure if it was an "all the time" or "occasionally a symptom.

Also really good info regarding russet mites, including being able to see them.

This is all leading me back to thinking it was an over/under water or fert issue... or roots are not happy for some reason.

This is the most indica heavy plant I am growing, and its been hot. several 100 degree days, and many days over 100 as well.

I will throw some beneficial nematodes in there and see what happens I guess.

Hey, Tangerine, thanks for your input and feedback. I wish it was easy to move the affected plant, but its not. Its probably nearly seven feet tall in total, has a six foot diameter, and it in a 45 gallon Pot. Which, im wondering if the 45 gallon pot isn't the issue. I absolutely should have ran 100g pots, but I just did not have that knowledge at the time.

Anyways, I would need to basically kill the plant and remove it from the garden for good, or leave it in place. If killing it means it wont infect the others, I am totally fine doing that.

I'm running 65s outside this year so I totally get it. At this point it would be near impossible to move them without damage.

Ha, so I have a couple clones I took from my other plants..... I went to the grow shop to grab some 30g pots because I was starting them so late season. Well, the shop only had 65g pots, so I got those. The three small plants that went in 65g pots with super soil have just EXPLODED.... like, I have never seen plants grow so fast.

yeah, i noticed that plant is in a black fabric pot while your others are in brown. Your roots might be getting too hot and the black fabric might be exacerbating it. I'd try to find a way to give the plant a little bit of shade during the hottest part of the day and see if that helps.

Running a higher vpd shouldn't cause something like this.
