Leaves go white and turn down then brown

what is this? i dont think its heat stress as its on the lower head i fimmmed it so it has 4. its nowhere else in the plant just the top as soon as new leaves come in they are white kind of and turn down on the tips then when they are older go brown any idea what causes this the ph in my water was fairly high until 4-5 days ago my tap water was around 11. on the second pic the new leaves going whiteish. my guess is that when you fim the top you didn't do it right ,i did one a few grows back and it turned out like a carnation on the top ,went back and cut all the way down ,and once i cut it off you could see were i had only got half of the top off ,plant grew all retarded until i clipped that top

what kind of light you using?

cfl's 2 68watts, and i have a smaller 23watt off to the side, the bigger cfls were kind of close i just moved it up again aswell

and yeah i did fail to fim once it didnt split or nothing just kept growing and the new fan leaves were retarded they are doing fine now i fimmed it again after that and it worked.
Distance between lights and plant was 1/2 inch closer before i moved up..IMG_1084[1].JPG

also do soil ph test kits work fine on water?

looks like u have a slight bit of tip burn give it a flush and bacj the nutes off abit

maybe nut burn . and beggining of N toxicity for shure , you dont want your plant to look that green , its to dark , your plant are getting too much N , as well has other nutrients , but N it's the most easy to notice normally.

i flushed it a few times after that but never really cleaned it fully i sat it in the shower for 10+ mins till the water was clear then flushed with normal ph water it should be fine now? im 99% sure it was nitrogen toxicity
