leaves drooping, curling, and changing color.

my plants were doing really well, but then i thought that i may have over watered them. but, i have not watered them in two days now and they have not come back from being a little droopy. they all seem to have something different going on with them but every one gets the same treatment, which is 8 23 watt CFL bulbs and we have a fan blowing lightly on them. some are just droopy, some plants leaves are curling, and then some leaves are changing color. the leaves also feel kind of dry and brittle. i recently just found out that the water drainage holes on my pots were covered so the water was not able to leak out at all. the roots are coming out a little at the bottom and are still a creamy white color, so i don`t think it is root rot. i want my plants to stay small and bushy, so is it okay that the roots are coming out a little? because i don`t want to transplant them into something bigger. i would really appreciate the help, i am a first time grower and would really like for this to work.

Let the soil dry out before watering.

Lift the pot, and if it feels heavy then it probably can go a few more days without water. If the pot is really light then you should water it.


Do you PH your water?
Are you using liquid fertilizers?
What kind of soil are they in?

I havent tested my sink water so i have no idea the ph. I started using bottled water though about 2 days ago so does that have the right ph? And i have not had the funds to get any nutes yet because im kind of a tight budget. What would you recommend? And i have them in some miracle grow potting soil, ive noticed that everyone always hates on MG but this is my first grow and the plants were beautiful until about a week ago. But heres my grow, i have three plants out for now but there usually all in my box with those lights above them. And i just started using the big fan to let them get some more air yesterday. But i got a little fan blowing all the air out in top corner. Let me know what you guys think!
