Hey all, this is my first post here hopefully someone can help out a first time grower!

It's 3 weeks old in a 5 gallon pots of promix soil. Growing very well I thought until a few days ago I noticed it was clawing and darker green than what I was seeing online, then I noticed the tips of the new growth at the top of my plant are turning yellow.

I just gave it very very low nutes for the first time a few days before this happened, i'm talking like 1/8th the recommended amount and it was pH at 6.5, could this be the reason?

Tent is usually 20-25 degrees and usually around 40% humidity

Any suggestions?IMG_20200424_130239.jpgIMG_20200424_130212.jpg

Looks like the beginning of overfeeding. Are you sure you measured correctly? I don't see how 1/8th strength nutrients for the first time would do that.

Hi bro I'm not a soil grower I'm hydro so can't say too much except if this is happening after you've added nutes then it's possible it's the cause if it's 100% the only thing you've done differently.

I'd suggest flushing with ph'd water and see how it goes from there.
How much to flush with I can't say so hopefully a soil guru will pop in n help you out.

I did 1 ML of grow and 1.5ML Micro per gallon and I only used maybe half a gallon on my plant, I have watered 2 times with 1 ML of cal mag Xtra. Usually ph'd at 6.5 but one time I watered without pH by mistake about a week and a half before this happened.

My soil is still a bit wet at the bottom, could I still perform the flush or should I wait until it's completely dry?

I think u gotta wait but I can't say for sure bro , if it's almost dry I personally wudnt see the harm in flushing now.

I've seen ppl talk about it a few times but because I'm hydro I didn't pay too much attention sorry.

Can anyone tell Dubdub if it's cool or not to flush while his dirts still wet at bottom of the pot.

hey man, Im an organic soil grower and i run into this all the time, its the beginning of over feeding. Premixed soils are usually amended to have everything your plant will need for the first few weeks, these nutrients become available over time rather than all at once and sometimes young plants or certain strains have a hard time keeping up. other than the dark green it looks like a very healthy plant. my advice would be in future to water with plain ph'd water untill you have some run off (to help avoid a build up of nutrients in the soil). flushes can cause a lot of stress to young plants and take a lotta time for your pot to dry out

Thank you this was very informative, I think tomorrow the soil will be dried up so I will try plain ph'd water until I start to get some run off. I will update everyone hopefully in the next couple days!

I appreciate all the responses !

looks a little n nuked I would just give it phed water and I would bump up the humidity I like going to 65-75Rh during veg.
