leaves cupping down

A few of my plants have leafs that are curling under at the edges. Not all the plants are doing this, which confuses me, they all have the same conditions available to them. I am using Fox Farms Ocean Forest, and also adjust the PH of my water so that it's neutral. I have a 4x4x7 grow tent, with a 400 watt light, carbon filter and inline fan, also a small fan to circulate air flow. I don't understand what it going on! I just planted them in 3 ga pots a week or so ago, I grew them from seed, they were a month old. Any ideas?

How often are you watering? They may also be experiencing transplant shock if you were rough with them. an you provide some pics and more information, regarding feeding and watering, ph readings, etc.

I haven't fed them anything yet. The Ocean Forest claims to be good for 30days. I water them every other day, or after the soil feeling dry when I stick my finger all the way in. PH in the soil right now is 7. I know it's a little high, the first time I watered I didn't have the PH adjuster stuff. I've only watered them twice since I repotted them. I have 4 plants that are doing this. The leafs feel rough. One plant has what looks like rust color leaves. I have 11 other plants that are fine..

i have had a similar thing happen to me as well. one plant out off three grew like this for a bit. what worked for me was flushing i just flushed the affected plant with at least 2x the volume of RO water as the pot. so for a 1 gallon at least 2 gallons of water and so on. make sure you allow to drain thoroughly. the affected growth remained curled, but all the new growth was fine. in the end this plant did better than the other two IMO, maybe it was the extra attention it warranted. good luck.

your light might be a little close. try raising it about a foot. Transplant shock and or Heat Stress.

I'm losing more plants. I'm really discouraged. I had to remove some leaves today, they were crusty to the point of breaking off in my hand. The owner of our hydro store mentioned the temp fluctuation from day to night. Could that be what is causing this? We are working on correcting the problem, but there has been a 15-20 degree difference between day and night. I am really getting upset, I don't want to lose my plants!! We also had to add ladybugs yesterday because I received a plant from a friend whom had mites. I even contacted Fox Farms about their soil Ocean Forest and they said there is no reason as to why it would burn plants, the hydro store guy said the same thing. So it's not over-fertilizing and it's not over-watering. I don't know what to do!! I raised the light a little, but I really don't think it was too close.

I too am having this problem. I transplanted these plants, 3 seedlings and 3 clones, two days ago. They were all healthy and perfect in an aerocloner under a cfl. They were moved to a aero/hydo set up under a 250w metal hallide bulb. I am using nutes, but very little. AN Piranha, AN B-52, Olivia's Solution, and just a smidge of GH grow. The first 3 are all specifically for seedlings and clones. I originally though it was a Nitrogen overdose based on the fact that some leaves are a super rich green color and others are yellowing with burnt tips. Now I'm thinking it may have been a light issue (too much). The seedling that is laying over has more of a wood looking stem versus all the others that are still green.

Idea #3... My pH at one point snuck up to 7. It wasn't there for long, but could this have created a lockout of water absorption?

I read a little bit about heat issues in "The Bible" I guess it can cause nitrogen lockup, which then causes the problem. Our plants get too cold at night, hopefully once we warm them up we wont have this problem. I re-programed our home thermostat to see if it will make a difference. If this doesn't work, I don't know what the hell to do! I definitely now think that it's a nitrogen problem...caused by cold soil.

I'm running into the same issue most growing beautiful but one affected rest are good. I noticed the ones growing rapidly were lighter green also recently went threw a transplant while doing so I noticed soupy muddy soil at bottom but dry top. I think I was over watering them not allowing my roots to breath/drainage issues. Everything I'm reading if we correct issue the affected won't get better but new growth will be fine. The soupy soil was causing lockout of nitorgen I'm getting extremely dark green leaves claw and curl. I'll keep you posted how they do with new soil. I'm totally a rookie so don't count on my advice just what I'm experiencing.

Sounds and looks overwatered.
