Leaves crinkling up and dying

Hi, I'm growing for the first time. They are 2 plants in pots that sit in my backyard. I water them every 3-4 days and I give them Bloom nutrients from miracle grow. They are planted in Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil. All the little fan leaves have started to shrivel up and die and I don't know what to do I would greatly appreciate a little help from a more experienced grower.

ditch that miracle grow.....go get yourself a couple fabric pots, and either some promix or foxfarm ocean forest dirt.

its perfect for beginners. also get yourself some base nutrients. i would suggest sensi a and b grow and bloom ph perfect. Also pretty good for a first timer.

idk where you are but in my area you wouldnt be flowering a plant in march, is your plant flowering? if not you should be using grow nutrients, not bloom

How old are they? MiracleGro nutes are ok. The soils are reported to be too hot with time release nutrients, etc. I'd be concerned.with "moisture control." Cannabis likes well drained soil. Those little gel things in the soil may keep it too wet.

If you're in flower, my guesses are:

1. You need to flush. You may have salt buildup from overfeeding and/or not enough runoff the past couple months.
2. MG's Bloom Booster product is too high P to use too early. If you switched abruptly from a veg NPK to a bloom, that will cause fan leaves to die off prematurely.

A photo would help.

When it's dry, feed water only. A quantity sufficient for runoff equal to the container's size (i.e., 100% runoff). In more extreme cases, 300%. In less extreme cases, just 50% and perhaps mild nutes instead of water only.

A photo would help. But, over feeding is common (leading to salt buildup in early flower, acidic soil, nute lockout). Over feeding also causes brittle glossy leaves.

Which MG nutes are you feeding? You can mix them together to get less extreme NPK ratios. For example, if you switched abruptly to "Bloom Booster" (NPK ratio 1-2-1) that can cause the plant to deteriorate. If you were using "All Purpose" (3-1-2), you could mix those 30/70% (AP/BB) to get a relatively sane 1.2-1.5-1 for early and mid flower. Don't go 100% BB until late flower.

This is why you don't need to "upgrade" to boutique cannabis-specific nutrients. It's all about the NPK ratio and strength. You can get that with anything. You don't need to pay a cannabis-tax buying themed products. Just ordinary fertilizers will get you where you need to be.
 
Miracle gro will work. Been there done that. Dank smoke. You ain't no pro, if u can't grow with miracle!!! Hahahahaa. Miracle gro potting soil. Proof is in the picture. 2 weeks in flowering.

I know it does. See I found these plants about a week ago growing naturally in the forest they looked the exact same. I'm trying to find a way to bring them back to good health is there any ways? And also where can I find those soils you mentioned above amato6?

By the way the soil naturally where I live has a lot of sand in it as I live about 20 minutes from the beach, so would that be a good draining soil to use or are there better options to explore?

I think what you found in the forest is a plant from last year's crop. Cannabis is an annual. It sprouts in the spring, and dies in the fall. It's not like an orange tree that comes back to life each year.

That looks like it's already been in flower. If it was growing outdoors, and considering it's only March, that had to have been last year's plant.

Order a "value pack" of seeds from marijuana-seeds.nl (decent price for a lot of seeds) and try again. You'll like it. It's not hard to grow. You don't need fancy nutrients. You'll need a grow tent to provide 12 hours of darkness in flower. If you don't want to make that investment, get autoflower seeds and you can grow them without concern for how dark it is when lights are out (but, you have to run the lights 6 hours longer in flower).
 
Well I live in Florida and trust me the last month or 2 have been warm enough to grow. So it very well may be from last year but it has had time and the right temps to grow to this stage where I live.

So if that alters your opinion let me know. And if it is from last year should I just harvest the bud now? And is it still good to smoke?

I think it's more about the length of light. They sprout in the kind of weather you describe, remain in veg until the days start getting shorter in August/September, finishing in October/November.

Maybe it was an autoflower which isn't photosensitive.

Was it green when you found it? It looks like it died off last December. I wouldn't smoke it. But, you could try it. Are there any seeds? If so, you could plant those right now. You may have to break the buds apart to find them. They'll be in little a paper-thin husks.
 
No they were the same color but I can see new growth, little leaves are starting to grow out from where the bud is almost seeming like they will replace the old fan leaves I'm not sure I can take a picture of it when I'm back at my place but that won't be until sunday

It's finished. Order some seeds.

Also, when growing, you kinda have to be there at least every other day unless you're growing outdoors. "Back on Sunday" probably won't work. Especially if trying to work with a plant suffering just 1/10th the problems that one has.
