Leave lights out before harvest

Hi ive just read to leave the lights off for 48 hrs before harvest for a last boost of thc production, does anybody do this ?

I did. A couple times. Im sure it helps, but not enough for me to notice.

I imagine the extra resin production would be marginal.

I'm no botanist so I certainly can't say to quote me on anything or that i know anything true or not lol

But anyway, of all the things I've read on it the most sensible thing i've read is that trichromes are mostly produced during lights out. Light diminishes trichromes. In turn harvesting before lights come on you'll have more trichromes than after allowing your lights to come on and degrade your trichromes. Also giving that extended darkness you supposedly allow more to be created without having light take any away. So if you aren't in a huge hurry then why the hell not, give it a go. I think a lot of growers do it and it certainly won't hurt.

Im like a sponge at that moment soaking up all this information lol, obviously im a newbie but want to produce the best stuff i can so if it says lights off then there off ha, reading up on everything but find theres alot of conflicting info like lollipoping/trimming leaves, some say its good for more light producing bigger buds and others think its like cutting your balls off ha, just about to Google trichromes, said i was a newbie ive not heard that word i dont think, i no thick as f##k and thanks for info.
