Leak in the lids help

Try running a small bead of caulk on the points where the lid meets the tote and touches around the whole thing. Let it dry, and then we men you close it, have it so that caulk gets squished.

Don't use caulk. That will dry out and crack, making a bigger mess. Go buy butyl rubber window and door sealant which has an adhesive side to it. Completely inert and the worst that will happen is the adhesive stops sticking, so you rip it off and replace with new. If you still get leaks from having a warped lid, press down on the lid and put a self tapping screw below the butyl compression seal strip, into the top edge of the tote.

This is the chemical reaction method -

Had to cowboy this a few times and came across it totally by accident one day in an emergency of trial and error...

Extra strong super glue and a bit of DRY paper towel. kitchen towel with te air pockets in it.
Put the paper towel on the leak and immediately soak the paper in super glue.

If done correctly -- You should see a very small puff of "smoke" come off the paper. which instantly sets the and seals the leak. It's okay if it starts getting wet before you glue it - I believe that's what causes the reaction.

What the hell are you talking about?

I know and i feel your headaches going out and those bitches leaking. as a temporary fix you can use rope caulk or weather strip. if you can plz upgrade your totes. I found this one and they dont leak. they cost me $25 at lowes and they are food grade. 20 Gal Brute FG9S3100GRAY.jpg Aerocloner Plans Brute tote vers..jpg DSCN3939.JPG

Totes with lids that clip on top always run the risk of leaks. The water will find the smallest gaps between the lid and the top of the tote. If you recess the lid into the tote by1/2" there`s absolutely no way for it to leak and you dont need to use any sealant.
