HA! Excellent. Let's discuss.
OK. Some are new sativa strains I am running that are showing this leaf structure right from germination in 1 gallon test pots. Their children, vegging in 10 gallon smart pots, are also showing this minimal leaf structure, so this sounds like a case of genetics from the heavy sativa side of things.
What I am questioning is long time staple of our garden, a hybrid strain ( Pink! = Purple Kush x Sour Diesel ) that got tweaked out while I experimented with 12-1 Gas Lamp lighting last turn. The strain seems to have changed, putting off single and triple leaves now, plus it seems to have a permanent higher hormone level but I may be crazy on that... The clones coming from these new, post Gas Lamp, plants are unlike the original mothers (pre Gas Lamp). They all are just back on 18-6 and I am wondering if the plant is permanently changed? Or if it is just stressed and will revert back towards the original structure and genetic look over time.
I run BotaniCare at 75% strength, pH ~5.9, Sunshine Mix4 soil + Perlite for medium. Supercropping and LST, sometimes topped (which could indicate what polyarcturus is talking about)...
OK. That just threw a whole lot of special situation into my question just to keep it interesting.
Insights? Thanks!
