I have a plant from bag seed planted in the ground; end of second week of flowering the leaves are turning a purple color ...any body know if this is a problem or a strain?

A chemical known as anthocyane resides within the Marijuana plant. It is released when the plant is getting cold, kinda like a anti-freeze. In most cases you have nothing to worry about.

Shouldn't your plant be vegging? it's nearly summer over there?.

like others have said it could be genetics or cold, although some don't turn purple from cold as my plants outside now aren't turning purple(S. hemisphere).

Cold locks out P intake and there for you get purpling . It can all so be a P deff or just the strain. They will purple at the end of flower as available P is used up too.
hmm what the above poster said Is new to me, I was also under the impression it was P lockout from cold. But this now has me thinking why various plants purple more in cold. perhaps higher amounts of this chemical.
