Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could germinate for an outdoor grow a little later than recommended by the seed packet. I might be planting some patches guerilla style and Ill probably only have the logistics of doing so by late april, even May. Is that too late? Would I still have something to harvest if I germinate that late? Just a reminder this is for Maine.

Thx

May will be fine.Just make sure them temps have warmed up enough.May in Maine at night can still get cold..If can start them inside then move them out at the end of may would be best..

Thanks for the info, but I was wondering if I were to start outside (I want this to be totally outdoor; don't have the money for indoor material) from seedling in early-mid may, would I just get a little less yield but still good product? In short, are the repercussions of not starting inside simply losing potential yield, or does it make the stuff less potent? I would be using all feminized seeds btw.

all you need for inside your house is cfl lights some nutrients and your good because all your doing is keeping them alive till they can go out side and you should get them started indoors anyway. good luck

thanks but like I mentioned earlier, I can't do any indoors whatsoever. It has to start outdoors, so If I were to plant in pots with a soil mix and put it outside in early/mid may, would it work?

If your going to plant seeds outside in May ,then wait till Memorial Day week end..Here in Maine all chance of frost at night is usually over by then. You will still have 2 1/2 months of veg time.Roughly 10 weeks veg. You won't start getting any pre flowering till Mid August..Then its flowering time and hopefully frost will hold off untill they are done..I usually have no problems growing till the first week of Oct outside. So your plants will have the normal growth cycle.. Yield and Potency will depend on the strain you choose..
