Late light cycle drooping

Northern lights auto, 31 days from sprout, 20/4 light cycle, drooping pretty significantly in the last hour or two before the lights go off. Been going on for maybe 4 days. Temps and RH are pretty much perfect. Very slight cal/mag deficiency that is being dealt with. Any thoughts on the cause and solution? I am wondering if I should experiment with 18/6. Thanks in advance.

I've been getting the same thing, was just my LXIII doing it at first and just thought it was predicting lights out, but now the whole room is starting to do it. I suspect fungus gnats are starting to get out of control, or something going on in the root zone. I have some mosquito bits on the way to try and remedy the problem.

I've heard of plants drooping in preparation for the night time, but I don't know why nor do I have a link to where I've seen it. It was on this site, sometime in the last 7 yrs lol

I believe it had to do with their metabolism and preparing to nighttime respiration, but I don't remember exactly.

Good to hear that it is not uncommon. I'm still thinking about seeing how she reacts to a switch to 18/6. She may be doing it more recently because she is about to get a feeding and may be a little hungry.

while im new here and on a mission I figured I would agree with most on it being normal. Especially if its only happening an hour or 2 before lights go out. If you go inside room an hour or 2 before lights come on you will see they are perky already anticipating the light to come. One thing is for sure do not change light cycles until you are ready to go 12/12. constant changing of light cycles will cause problems

Thanks for the input! She is an auto so I will probably never take her to 12/12... maybe 18/6 late in flower..

I have no real world experience with auto strains. Ruderalis strains were created for outdoor growers in regions where they have almost 24 hours of light during summers and hardly ever any darkness (unless if its winter time). I would research auto strains some more, because even though Im not knowledgeable in this at all, I fear giving a ruderalis cross less light may hurt your yields
