Last Week or Two Flowering, Flush??

Ok, someone school me.

Are we flushing ALL the nutes out of our soil for a full week or two before harvest?

If so, doesn't this stop the plant from producing bigger buds?

Whats the preferred flushing time before harvest.

I mean shit, if its a 8 week flower, starving it on the last week or two seems like a no no to me?? Dont these plants pack on most their weight in the last couple weeks?

Depends if you are talking hydro or soil but with hydro I do a water change, ph it and that's it 3 days before harvest. Soil I feed nothing but water last week and day before harvest I flush.

theres obviously a myth to this and people took right off with it lol
IMO why take away nutrients in its most crucial time thats getting big and fat buds i always wondered why people did this even i did my very first grow people got to understand that when you feed your plants its just not drinking up the nutrients you vegged for weeks and flowered for weeks you actually think your going to rid plant of what Exactly i would really like to know what ????? of bad tasteing buds hahahahaha its the proper drying and curing of a plant that determines Taste and potency

Yea man, ive read all kinds of different shit about flushing.

One i remember was how a joint wont stay lit if you dont flush.

Or, all the phosphorus makes the weed taste chemically.

Well, dosnt the plant just only take what it needs and leaves the rest?

Come on guys, whats the real deal?

I have found that without a flush the bud does not burn to a clean gray ash, it appears to be more black and charcoal like when there is no flush. Just an observation but it seems like the nutes you feed a plant dont burn too well.

the reason some people flush is because they want there plant to be clean and have no extra added to the bud. i wouldnt flush if i were using organic nutes but with my mg nutes it has all them chemicals in it so i plan on flushing

You realise chemical and organic nutes contain the same chemical elements? Just with organics the soil has to break down the large organic molecules into their chemical components...so you care to explain the difference?

ya i know they both have the same basic chemicals mainly npk but in orgaics it a natural and not synthetically made with bad fillers

Well i got 7 plants in there 5th week flower.

Im thinking ill flush a couple of days before chop?

Ive been using the Fox Farms line this round.

Hey, while im asking these questions, here's another.

Molasses, Should i use it? Do the plants need these carbs along with the Fox Farm nutes?

Hell, i got a older FF feed chart that shows to use molasses and bat guano every other water?

Flushing is as simple as using plain water for a week or 2 before harvest. If you are serious about producing bud that tastes its best, burns cleanly and is safe as can be then flushing is a must.

i use molasses but it wont do much this late, if feeds beneficial microbes in the soil which help your plant. i start molasses in mid vegging

I just said they're the same chemical elements in both, where do you think the chemicals in "synthetic" nutrients come from? You can't produce a chemical element out of nowhere.

Flushing does nothing but starve a plant when it's plumping up...I never flush, my stuff burns perfectly, tastes divine and gets you super high...what am I doing that magically changes the rules?

You realise the idea behind feeding the soil microbiology is to increase the plants uptake of nutrients, right?

If you compare it to some properly flushed weed of the same strain you would notice a huge difference. I never used to flush and when I started I noticed it immediately.

your telliing me that flushing last 2 weeks is going to get rid of nutes in the bud ?????? thats untrue think about if for a moment took you 100 days to grow adding nutes all along and in last 2 weeks you flush and its all clean as you say it

here guys mention about there weed popping etc or not staying lit :)) could it be it wa never dryed and cured properly to begin with ???

ya i do understand that
So by your logic you stop feeding nutrients but feed the soil microbes which is intended to increase nutrient uptake...? Lol.

Also are you guys aware that plants don't store nutrients in its flowers?

ok you use molasses and what actually is it for ??? to help micro organism i can tell you from experience that it does fck all why i say this is becuase most indoor grows dont last over 100 days and i can guarntee you that your soil is far from being finished to worry about adding molasses another myth
You dont have to worry about it
most soiless mediums dont have enough micro organisms to even bother with it to begin with peatmoss is to acidic to begin with :))
