I got that fan at either Home Depot or Wal-Mart. I assume you are talking about the box fan. Those can be found just about anywhere though. I actually have it down a little lower now (used longer bungees. I use one in my veg room and one in flower.

So check this out....the guy I got 6 of the clones that are now flowering from called me yesterday and asked me if they seemed further along than my 3 other clones. I hadn't noticed but this moron somehow already had these clones flowering for a couple of weeks before he gave them to me.

I'm so upset about getting clones from this guy that I can't even begin to describe my frustration. He tells me AFTER I have the plants in my flowering room for a few days that he put them outside and try to get them to grow outdoors. Well, that's why they started flowering. And the reason I had to bug bomb the place. Now it looks like these plants are going to flower very, very small. I'm just so pissed I could shit and I'm considering ripping everything out of the flowering tent now.

My plants that are vegging from the seeds are just about ready to get flowered right now, so I might start taking some cuts, shut down the flower room and get it cleaned out already and just forget about those. What an unbelievable disaster. This guy is a cluster-fuck when it comes to growing so I don't know why I bothered getting these clones from him.

He told me that he had 44 in that he was vegging, but he lost a bunch of his equipment (his partner bounced) and he was stuck with just 1x 1000w light instead of 3x 1000w lights and now he needed to figure out what to do with these clones he's been vegging for a month. Of course I offered to take a few off his hands, but it looks like it sure isnt' going to be saving me any time or effort.

I want to rip them out before they get too deeply rooted in the hydroton if possible. It's just not going to be worth cleaning all of this hydroton and doing everything for the little tiny lollypop's I'm going to get from these clones.

I ripped the plants out and of course there's little bugs running around. So it makes me feel better knowing that I'm doing the right thing here.

I'll clean out all of the hydroton (again) and soak it in ph 5.5 water for 24 hours to try to get it a lot more stable. I was having a lot of trouble keeping the ph down, so I hope it will help to give them another set of rinsing and cleaning. This will definitely be a busy week.

My White Widows are already starting on alternating nodes so over the course of the next week or two I'll start taking some cuttings to get some clones going of these. I'll flower 6 of the larger plants and see how they turn out. I will keep the clones from only the strongest plant from that 6 and destroy all of the others.

Then I'll do another batch with the 3 BB Blue Cheese and 3 more White Widows. I'll keep only the clones from the strongest again. After that's done all done (may use a second tent and light setup so it only take about 3 months) I'll have my White Widow Mother and my BB Blue Cheese mother. A lot of hassle to get some genetics going, but it's all so that during winter I can blast away at some bomb strains in my bomb setup and hopefully only ever use summers for starting new genetics.

I was considering buying clones my self but I remember getting clones b4 and they were full of mites. It fucked my crop n a couple of friends crops. Each of us had 5 1000 watt lights we only harvested half of what we suppos to get. Now I just start from seed n make mothers. No more bullshit.

Yeah, that was a fucking disaster. I'm done buying clones from dispensary or getting them from friends.

This is the reason I was okay with ripping them all out...

This veg room looks like it's going to be ready to have some of it's plants flowered in the next week or so. I don't know what I was thinking starting those clones in the first place. 8-9 weeks of flowering those clones would've overgrown this veg room no matter what I did. Things should be much more on track this way anyway.

Thanks.

I have done so much cleaning, and so much prepping for this flower room, but it seems good to go. The only thing that I didn't do that I'm kind of regretting seeing as I did so much already was run through a few reservoirs worth of ph 5.5 water to get the hydroton even more saturated and get it's ph down. The hydroton seems to be just incredibly stable at 6.5 and ph down doesn't hold it down very well.

Well, I've moved 6 plants into the flowering tent. I took multiple cuttings from each of these plants earlier in the week (although they aren't looking too good, I'll expand on this later) so if they are good performers and give quality buds I can keep their decendants around. If they suck I can just kill'em. They are just starting their first 12 hour dark period as I type this. They went to "sleep" about 19 minutes ago.

Right now this tent is rockin' the 400w HPS, but I ordered the parts for my portable A/C to get it back up and running so I may go ahead and put these on blast with my 600w ballast and lamp or try a 1000w. I have a friend that has one so I'll try it and see if it trips the breakers w/ the A/C running. I ran 2 400w and the A/C and it was able to hang, but the 1000w might just do it. So we'll see how that all pans out.

Clones:
I took cuttings from both strains and multiple plants (the ones I put into flower). I took multiple cuttings from each plant and marked them all so I have 6 plants in flower and I have 18 cuttings. This was to hopefully avoid knocking one out due to even a poor rate of cloning. Even if I only got 30% I should have a good chance of getting one of each.

Well, this was the oddest batch of cloning I've ever seen. I don't know if my scissors weren't clean or what the fuck the deal is. I've taken clones before about 20 times and helped others as well and I've never seen such poor results. Shocked at myself! I cleaned the scissors with alcohol?

I took the cuttings, immediately dipped them in clonex and straight into my properly soaked (in ph 5.5 adjusted water), then shaken out rockwool starter cubes. I put them all under the humidity dome in the tray, sprayed them with a little fine mist of water, sprayed the lid, put it on and set it down in the lower corner of my veg room. Ten minutes later I was coming in to check on the ph of the water and bam, they are all laying down lifeless and limp. It's only been 10 freakin' minutes! I tried to prop some of them up a little bit, but they all looked just pathetic. Still green, but pathetic, so I've chalked it up to the cubes being too wet. I've never used these particular starter cubes and I shook them out pretty hard a few times. After trying to figure out's what wrong I realized the cubes are still pretty damn wet for this process.

Hopefully they will be fine when things start to dry out. If not by the end of the weekend I'll take one more cut from each in some much dryer cubes. Same process, I'll just let them dry out for 12 hours before I put the cuttings in them.

you know that happened to me. i took cuttings and 10 minutes later they looked like they weren't coming back, they were wilting. i actually forgot about them for a few days under a flouro in my dome and shaazam they were all standing tall. 18 of 20 rooted. not bad, it was my first time. but i've heard some strains aren't clone friendly, such as the blueberry strain. good luck bro, looks outstanding!

Week 1 flowering:

I switched to the 600w light and the temp at the top of the canopy is just 82 degrees at the warmest so I'm happy I'll be running this light until night time temps get ridiculous (hopefully that just doesn't happen).

I added one more white Widow so it's now 5 white widow and 2 BB Blue Cheese in the flower room. All but 1 of the plants looks great. 1 of the White Widows (who happens to be in the center of the tray) looks grossly underfed. She's growing like a champ, but just seems starved for food. I don't want to do anything drastic because the others seem just fine.

The one plant has uniformly gone much lighter green and the lower leaves have begun to yellow.

I added SensiGrow A & B to the reservoir and will leave it for another week while they get through this stretch. I didn't add much, I believe 120ppm out of a now 700ppm reservoir.

Anyway, here's the pictures of week 1 of flowering:

Well I trimmed up the flower room quite a bit as the plants were getting unruly. I took some more cuttings and they seem much better this time. I went back to my old rooting hormone and 1" rockwool cubes and now they look just fine. A little droopy, but that's to be expected at this stage.

I am going to go down to the hydro store tonight and pick up a new uvonair 3000 that will hopefully help me resolve my odor issues.

uvonair 3000? got pets? i have a story for you if so. don't buy if you have children, pets? why not a carbon filter like my old setup? your grow looks amazing. very righteous my friend, i'm excited for you!!

I actually ended up purchasing a uvonair 1000 and yes, I have a dog.

I set it up on a timer so it only runs for 15 minutes and it comes on for 15 minutes, then it's off for an hour and a half.

Seems to be working pretty well in that configuration and the testers say it's in the safe range.

Bterz...brotha, I just took about 25 cuttings that seem to surviving and doing well also. I'll be taking about 25 more this afternoon more than likely. These things are looking pretty good and right on track.

I wish I had put one or two more in there, but I wanted to leave room up front for flowering little clones to determine sex if I'd started more seeds. I didn't end up starting anything new anyway, so the space kind of went to waste.

I'll have new updated pictures tomorrow.

25 + 25 = 50!! Now thats impressive :D :D

I've had nothing but troubles with my past cloning experiences. Although, I got my hand on some NON-rooted, LA Confidential and a very, very, very, very good pheno of "Chronic" (ak47xNL), also non-rooted, that I got to pop (16 for 18 )

I'll be stopping by...
