here in southern so cal that 1/8 of Alien Labs would be $55 - though it was $70 not too long ago. rosin prices have also dropped - from $69/g to $46/g for example.

that's from a southern socal menu ;) but yeah. prices vary. stiizy flower ain't too bad for $40-$45 imo. but it's nothing amazing.

It's better weed than what 75% of growers end up with. My stuff is better even weed from seed runs.

I've seen and smoked some of the cheap weed and it is definitely better than what many are growing and harvesting. I'm on the west coast so I don't have any knowledge of markets in the midwest or east coast. Thing may be drastically different in those regions. Here in Portland it's probably cheaper to just buy it than to grow it.

We rule out here. I have to dial myself back sometimes as I realize that good weed is nothing here but is something elsewhere. We be spoiled and have been for decades. Possession of over an ounce was decriminalized way back in the 70's in Oregon. Northern California and Southern Oregon are the beginnings of US cannabis cultivation for THC producing plants. I remember people sending Oregon weed to states like Nebraska decades ago.

hmmm, I guess im not sure the quality of what too many home growers are doing. But first time growers shouldn't really be taken into consideration. been growing and smoking my own stuff for a while now, only recently started checking out some of the stuff other than flower that's more difficult to make for myself. But i really don't see why an 8th should cost more than $40, and with it being legal how is there even a market with room for shit weed?

I guess its just big enough of an area, that there is a market for everything

I was in Portland a year ago and I was impressed. Everything was better and cheaper. I don’t know what’s going on in LA. There is good weed but I won’t be buying $50-70 eighths. My house goes through 2 oz a month.

I did a little math and it appears that a 480w light will cost about $82 to power throughout a grow at
10 cents a kilowatt
7 week 18/6 cycle
10 week 12/12 cycle
Anyone care to take it further and add up
Medium, nutrients, and other expenses to see how much it costs to make a run?

10c a kilowatt is low. LA county is seeing 24c a kilowatt right now. I’d also wager most large scale operations aren’t using 10week flowering strains.

i dont even know anyone that buys from a dispensary and im even surprised we have a few out in mendocino
