Please remember gentlemen; it's strain specific, some plants will yeild loads and others meager amounts. Try growing a Chem and getting 5+ lbs not likely but an AK47 or ECSD another matter entirely. There are many variables too heat and water to say the least rainfall. Cali has little down south and other areas of the coountry too much lol. Glad to see ya growin'!!
very true like i said about the easy rider to throwed

i started seeds in early april last year and they were severely rootbound by mid july in five gallon buckets. i'll never make that mistake again.

Yeah the plants in my avatar were in 3 gallon pots...started at end of june last year...so rootbound at chop that I almost cried at the waste of what "might" have been. If your gonna use pots, go big or stay home.

Dude, what the fuck. I'm not even an outdoor grower, but just wasted 10 mintues reading this bull shit thread. Throwed - shut the fuck up. Where do you get off talking to people like that!? First off who fucking cares how other people grow - do what you do and learn from others if you choose to do so.

If you disagree with someone, fine. Disagree and no need to flame. I fucking hate people like you. Take your immature, ignorant, RUDE, shit-talking, childish ass elsewhere. No one else seemed to want to say it but damn that's how I feel.

And no I don't have any pictures or YouTube videos to show you, and wouldn't waste my time if I did, so fuck off.

AMEN!!! I noticed he finally gave up and moved on, he even had the gall to say someone photoshopped the pics they had......unbeleivable! I usually don't get involved with those kinds of arguments, but that guy really was out there.

Yeah, I got away a long time ago. Figured it wasn't worth my time to argue for something I KNOW is true...lol

I had given up wasting bandwidth, posting on this thread, long ago.

I don't think he ever accepted the fact, that it's possible grow MONSTERS in one season. I do it every year.

A few pages back I offered to answer any questions about how the plants in my videos are grown. He just continued on. I can't help him.

Good luck

P.S. Any questions?

actually, i do have a question... what program did you all use to photoshop your pics? photoshop?

sorry i couldnt help it.

but on a more serious note
say that i can only visit my plants and tend garden once or maybe twice a week. is there a size that you all would guess to be a threshold between the perfect size for the potential of a plant(with kinda limited care) and just plain overkill

Bro, if your in an area that gets no rain, and you only visit once or twice a week, you better put em' in the ground. If you go too small, your plants will die. You really need to think about ammending the hell of existing soil and plant em' in the ground. You can't go wrong if you can do that.

I agree with wheezy, if you can't go more often, put them in the ground in big holes

Good luck

P.S. This must be what women with naturally large breasts feel like, nobody believes they're real! Well, no silicon here! lol!

yeah, most all of em are going straight to earth. but ive got a couple extras though and a very nice hillside spot. hahaha

we average over 4 inches of rain per month all summer long here. do you think something around 20-30 gal could sustain a smaller, mostly indica fairly well?

it boils down to the fact that im jonesing to test some different soil mixes that i can mix at home and take out in a container because i have to be sneaky... but i dont want to waste good plants, ya know. basically wondering what the smallest that anyone but throwed would use for a good yeild

There's a 'shot glass' grow thread over on the indoor page. Sorry I couldn't resist! lol!

Give it a try, with what ever you can carry good luck

hey, if your gettin' that much rain, it'll prolly work. Especially being a full on Indica, they don't usually spread out as much as a Hybrid or Sativa for sure.

you will play naieve? not sure what you mean

your plants are a lot bigger than mine are im just concerned that your kc mango will get root bound but thats me. i will be making more smart pots out of the weed barrier i have, in different sizes 5gal and up. like i said about my camera its toast so i will post as many pics as i can with my gf phone. keep in mind im just stating that a plants root ball will gro bigger than a 5gal container will sustain NOT that you can yield 5 or 10 lbs in a single 6 to 8 month outdoor grow. if someone was to start a plant in jan and we had an early summer (groundhog came out his hole lol) and grow it in the best soil with the best nutes all year and the plant didnt star buding until about sept
then yeah i can see a 5 lb plant or more but you got to know your shit to keep a seedling or cutling alive during the end of the winter in the first 2-3 months of the year. different strains of weed yield different amounts of bud, a friend of mine did a sea of green setup with 1000 watt hps in a 10 by 10 room with an autoflowering strain i believe was called easy rider he had 12 plants they got to be about 2 or 3 ft tall wen they started to bud. he had only vegged for like a month and a half then let them bud for like 2 months not sure exact times but i know he let the bud longer than they vegged. when he harvested he got 3 to 4 oz of each plant

so for our test to be 100% accurate we would need to grow the same strain but i say still do it what can it hurt (someones ego maybe)

p.s. were is your free high life 420 t-shirt didnt see it in the pics
My plants are biiger than yours? How is that possible? I am in GEORGIA...Not Cali. I must be lucky. LOL. I am not concerned about the root ball on the KC Mango. It is doing just fine in the grow bag and getting taller by the day. Currently almost at my neck. My plants weren't started in Jan. Mine were started in Feb. the 30 day difference shouldn't make that much of a difference. The KC Mango is not going to bud until Sept. As for the T Shirt...All you can see is the US flag given the angle of how I took the pic....Here is a front view of it of the shirt....Compare it to the pic of the plant at my chest.

Most intelligent men/women waste 10 minutes of their time reading a thread in a section that doesn't concern them....THEN they post in a thread that doesn't concern them....THEN they ask another how they can say this on a FORUM in a rude way when others and himself/herself are posting something just as rude. WTF? Talk about pot calling the kettle black. LOL
