Large Scale Cloning

So I have an opportunity to move back out to WA to grow with a friend as a wholesaler in the next year.

For the past month I've been researching methods for growing on a large scale. Nothing ridiculous.
I have growing experience, but not with cloning. I'd like to build a small setup to scale, but because of plant limits, there's
no way to do that legally where I'm currently at.

Without getting into too many details, in order for this SOG to work, we'd need 500 clones per 2 month cycle
(each clone will get 2 months to root and stretch). Ok ok, I know it's not LARGE SCALE, but it's not a closet
grow either.

Since we're going from clone to flower, we need some pretty good sized clones.

My question is, what is the most efficient, economical approach to this?

I've read so many conflicting things on much smaller grows, so it's hard to pick out
the best info, and we can't really test out methods until we're actually there.

If I needed mothers, with consideration to needing 250 clones, and time for the plant to repair, how many?
Orrrrrrrr (and this is where my lack of experience in cloning comes in) with 2 months time to root and stretch,
would the clones themselves be big enough to clone prior to transfer to the flower room?

All of my experience with clones have been buying them at $15 a pop and vegging them under a scrog.

We have a window of trial and error when we get there, because not everything goes perfect the first
time around, but I want to have everything planned down to a tee.

Any info, suggestions, or experience is incredibly appreciated!!!!

What i would do is as soon as you can start 20 plants then take 10 clones of each of those for a total of 200 RIGHTS before you flower those 200 you take 2-3 clones from each plant for your 500 plant goal and veg those for 2 months and again right before you flower take 1 cutting from each plant and keep doing this. When you want to start a new strain grow a new plant and get itbig and take 20 cuttings and slowly rotate those in.

that's how my buddy does it that has a big comm. Grow.

Yeah so per cycle, we only need 200 sites. We're going to run 2 cycles separated by a month, giving us a harvest every month.
500 clones to 400 sites gives us 100 clones of insurance.

your going to need mother plants. lighting and strain will determine how many mothers u need. the best way to do it to reduce down time is when the said room is on week 6 or 7 of flower its time to make cuts for that room. cloning style really doesn't matter. rock wool or areo, what ever you guys are most comfortable doing is best.

25 mother plants - you have to allow for the re-growth time also before your next cut.

50 mother plants - cut 500 from 25 mothers - nice thick tall clones which will suit your SOG. This way, your mums get a chance to give some better stronger clones?

This thread seems like a pipe dream.

Did i read you say you had no exp in cloning yet? But you plan to do 500...

Also, a plant 2 months from snip is a tree in my garden. Just beware of that on a large scale.

Research research research.
Good luck buddy.

YEA i was thinking the same thing vegging for 2 months is NOT a sog. Your going to have some nice size plants. Better off vegging for 2-4 weeks including the 1 week to root unless you have a hugeee place to grow and god only knows how many 1k lights.

Yeah so we have a bit of financing to gives about a 6 month trial and error window
(total of 9 months financing before we need to turn a profit) which is why
I want to have a good game plan.

We have 4400 sq ft of space to grow, which is why I'd wish to not have mother plants, but it would obviously
make this whole thing easier.

I know a true sog is from rooted clone to flower, and the bigger the clone the better the yield.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around a way to do it with out mother plants.

I think I was in a brain fart when I made the post. The idea was to clone 250 to root, veg 2 weeks giving some time to grow, then take
a clone from the clones then flip to flower and start the process all over again.

But even then, at least from the clones I've bought (which weren't huge), even with 2 weeks veg it wouldn't be large enough to
cut the size clones I'd look for.

If anything, if it's necessary, I'd have to give up some flower space for the mother plants.

Honestly if you have that much space what's a seperate 4x8 tent just for mothers. Also the i would utilize the "dead" space above this tent with either fan locations or a drying chamber make a custom board for all your ballasts/drivers etc etc. Just throwing up some ideas
