Would this be a good thing for my grow op in my basement. I was thinking of getting a house and in the basement, have about 70-80 plants.

Its about 250 lbs and is designed to remove particulate and gaseous contaminates from confined spaces, while reducing the amount of outside air that would normally be required for dilution of contaminates.

Thats the PDF file for the info and specs.

Anyone help me out on what the airflow capacity means?

200-500 CFM( 340-850 CU. M/HR)

Would it work in a room with as much plants as I will have?

Yea these are industrial style. I figure if your going for 70-80 plants then might as well get one big machine instead of multiple carbon filters....

Just dont understand this part:

(340-850 CU. M/HR)... So what does the 200-500 CFM mea?

CFM is the amount of air you can move/replace/filter in, I believe, 5 minutes.
As far as room size and CFM, etc, below is an example of how much CFM you would need.

If the room is 10' wide x 6' deep x 8' high = 480 cubic ft.
Now take the 480 cubic ft and divide it by 5 (minutes) = 96 CFM

In other words, to move/replace/filter the entire air in a room thats 480 cubic feet in 5 minutes, you would need a 96 CFM fan. I'm sure they don't make a 96 CFM fan but 100CFM's are a plenny.

So, take your above mentioned 500 CFM and multiply it by 5. That fan can replace/filter a 2500 cubic ft room in 5 minutes.

Hope that helps.

Yea I got that before was just curious as to what this meant: (340-850 CU. M/HR)

Thanks.

Dunno?

340-850 cubic meters per hour? Too big of a spread (340-850) to be?
