I can get 8-10lbs on a 4x8 per year, especially with older teens ready at crop start. 32sq ft.. This is.. 224sq. ft.
50lbs+ PER YEAR. Or these are easily his goals at that sq. footage. It's commercial. Lets not lie to ourselves.
OK.. You are stuck on taking the higher risk, much lower payout method? Dedicated to growing for a career but won't take any optimized path?
FINE. LIGAF
Really man, just trying to be helpful. Time will tell how it works out..
I built many lights for fun so far, varying configurations. Covered 4x 4x8s and a 4x4 and some clone space.
Here's useful info if you're gonna do a lot of building:
Per light cost: fixed cost: Aluminum railing, $6, Project box $9, intel fans $3ea (bulk purchase), Uxcells, screws, stranded, plug, o hooks: $10 12vballast $8 = $About 45 per light.
Bravo if you can do it lower.
I still appreciate the low cost vero29's. I hate that they don't run 4x on any cheap ballast. Saving grace is they can run x6 on a HLG-320h-c1400. A $99 320w ballast.. Very cost effective when considering the 96 chips you are wiring. Vero 29 is almost HALF the cost of cree last time I looked.
6x v29 = $150ish at bulk.. $295 per light. You don't need 24, more like 16 (its a 6 light fixture). =$4800.
(building yourself).
These are easy to make with a template. The chips screw right into fins with low tension (no tapping), no need for chip holders with V29's, the intel fans snap click, no need to screw em in, just drill the holes.. Wago and wire everything, done.
Check Supra on clu 3618 on 320-H- 48a I think.. (runs two @ 1400ma) -> These may be even more economical. I plan on building one next week or so.. I'm lazy lately
