Hey all, I was wondering, if doing a minor grow op, say 1 400watt light, will that be extremely noticeable on an electric bill..? I dont plan on running AC or anything else, but this guy insists on including all utilities on my lease and I dont know how to explain to him that im growing bud

but its one of those sensitive topics u dont tell landlords...

conserve electricity where you can in other areas to compensate for the lights - no a/c, keep non-grow lights off, minimize tv use

If he asks, just say that you have a computer, a TV and a stereo system that uses vacuum tubes. :eyesmoke:

vacuum tubes, lol.
Dude, if you havnt got a light system yet, I would urge you to invest in a 4 bulb or more t5 fixture. Not only can you flower with t5's they will work great for veg say if you have the hps you would have vegging plants, mother under t5 and flower with HPS. You could harvest 1/2 - 3/4 oz plants every 2 weeks. I guess Im saying that getting a t5 fixture wold be your best bet now becaus you landlord would deffinately not going to care about a flourescent set up and it could benifit you in the long run.

Buy something that uses a lot of electricity but never use it, if he asks why the bill is so high point to the device that uses a lot of power.

Im using a standard 2 ft wide closet laid down a wood floor, installed a fake wall so that the legnth was 50 inches, attached fan to precut hole in the fake wall, take out the closet shelf of course and hang your lights from the ceiling. You should have 8-9 feet of height to work with. Get 4 2x2s 18-24 inches in legnth attach them to the 4 corners of the first wood floor and put another floor down. Veg down below and flower on top. The tricky prtis learning to bend those branches over or you could lst.
