Lamp Problems :/

Hi! im new here
i wont just post this question and leave, i enjoy this site a ton!
Now can someone help me with my lamp i have my ballast (i had to wire the output part my self [3 wires yellow/green Brown And Blue]) my lamps and my reflector..

the lamp doesent kinda work..
i mean there is something going in the middle of the lamp and it haves a huge buzzing noice and its not getting warmer..
i have a 400w HPS/MH Ballast and 250w HPS lamp (in the pic, i also have 250 mh)
what should i do? its not getting warmer its not bright at all i dont know whats the problem...

First of all you need a 400 watt bulb.How are the wires hooked up?.It would be better if you would let somebody that knows what they are doin hook the light up befor you burn your house down.It`s not as simple hookin two wires up

have you plugged it in and left it plugged in for several minutes? These setups take several minutes to reach fullness.

the 250's will work just fine don't worry about a thing. im going to guess to bulbs are bad, but do check the wiring. see if it is a muliti wire ballast and your wired up the right way, as to powering up the ballast. the wires to the bulb you really can't go wrong, just 3 wires, one black, one white, and a green ground..my grounds to my sockets are not hooked up so if your ain't that doesn't matter they will still light bright..
