Lambsbread x Capulator's GAS MAC

Decided to document this cross I'm making. I was gifted a pack of Capulator GAS MAC seeds and decided to cross a male to my favorite strain, Lambsbread. I'm not too big of a fan of cookie crosses as I think it's polluting the gene pool but having the opportunity to put some MAC genes into my Lambsbread I decided to go forward with it.

GAS MAC Genetic Background

Start Fighter x MAC11

Lambsbread aka "The Bread" Genetic Background
Unknown genetic background. Been in my stable for 7 years since it was gifted to me. A very sativa dominant hybrid that finishes around 9 weeks. My absolute favorite smoke out of anything I grow and I'll never let her go.

Pollen was collected and stored. Once the bread reached week 4 I pollinated with a qtip. Currently the bread is in the middle of week 5 and seeds should be ready in 4-5 weeks. I'll document everything in this thread. I hope everyone will enjoy this thread is it progresses. If anyone has any questions about collecting, storing or apply pollen or anything else feel free to post it here.

I agree about the cookies crosses. I don't find it to be a reliable gene pool to pull from.
Interestingly I have a number of Jamaican Land race seeds I'm currently working with.
How is your lambs bread for stretch? Is it a hardy strain?

Certainly looks Sativa as heck based on those leaves.

I will be watching this thread.

Nice work LGND

Stretch isn't too bad on her but she veg's really well. With two months of vegging and 3 toppings she will be around 5'8" indoors at week 4. If left outdoors and untrained she will get real tall on you. Seen her over 8 feet before. I've left her drooping pretty hard before and she bounces right back. Only thing I have to watch out for is mold. Didn't have a dehumidifier when I first started growing her and molded right up on me.

That's rad you got some landrace seeds to work with. I feel like that's where you can find the gold. This breeding project is to just keep me busy until I can start the actual cross I want to do which is headbanger x lambsbread. I'll start a separate thread of that though.

Small update. Seedlings are chugging along. Looks like I'll have 8 or 9 viable seedlings to grow out. Will be a very small snapshot of the genetics but we'll see what we can find. Hopefully I can get a few females.

Thanks for the kind words Angus. This is my side project so I won't be diving into the gene pool after this run. Stick around we'll see what I find together.

They grow up so quick! Couple more weeks of veg growth so I can grab a clone, transplant them into half gallon pots, and then into flower they'll go.

Another week another update. Transplanted today. Will let them grow for another week, take clones, and into flower they go and then the real fun starts to happen. Ran out of half gallon containers so had to use 1 gallons for the last 4.

Took clones today and put the plants into flower. Now the fun can begin. Let's hope for some fire :fire:

Sorry for the lack of updates. Just not very interesting during the first few weeks of flower. I ended up with three females and culled the males since I had no interest in breeding with them. Out of the three females two are more lambsbread dominant and the other one is much more squat so that one seems to have more GAS MAC in it. I'll post bud pictures once they mature down the road.

Starting week 6 today. Below are some bud shots. On pheno 1 I'm getting a sweet smell that's more associated with the lambsbread, on pheno 2 it's more of an artificial grape smell, and pheno 3 has a slight shit smell to it but not overly pungent. So far pheno 1 and 2 are impressing me.

Pheno 1

Pheno 2

Pheno 3

Just about there! I will say about a week left maximum. They're at the tail end of week 8 and will probably chop around mid week 9 to the tail end of it. I'll share final plant shots, dried bud shots and smoke reports once all is said and done.

Pheno 1
Wow what a surprise honestly. It's starting to have a very nice fade to it. Buds feel dense and has great trichome coverage. Smell is very sweet. I'm really hoping the final product is killer because this has potential to be a keeper.

Pheno 2

Buds are a bit smaller and not as dense compared to pheno 1. Smell is similar a nice sweet smell with good trichome coverage. Yield looks to be smaller compared to 1 as well but we will see.

Pheno 3
The least impressive of the three for me. Plant is short but the buds are classic spear shaped colas that are dense. Trichome coverage seems to be the lowest on this one. This pheno would be good for people with height restrictions.

The plants got the chop a couple days ago. I lost all the clones but I'm going to attempt to save Pheno 1 with a reveg. I'll post back here in about a month if it's successful. I'll post about the other two pheno's as I get to them but below is the best of the three. Enjoy.

Pheno 1
Wow....just...wow is all I have to say. Below is final shot before chop and a two day dried bud. Really blew me away. This pheno has a good yield, nugs are good density, tons of trichs. Smelled like fruity pebbles before chop and waiting for the cure to see what the final smell is like. Going to try and save this plant if I can.
