The temp has been averaging 81 F (27c) throughout the day, so things are running pretty smoothy. It's a huge relief...was worried that the heat would be too much to handle. It was harder to control heat in the closet with just CFLs...I probably did not have the ventilation set up the most efficient way considering the dimensions...but anyway, I am pleased with the tent and light set up and don't regret it in the least.


PPE (personal protection equipment)...gotta look good while in the tent lol. J/k, read in a few places that it's good to wear shades around your lights...

The plants seem to be responding to the hps already but maybe I am imagining things in my excitement ;)

Also, decided to make my own starter mix for fun since jiffy got it so wrong lol. Mixed 2 quarts of Jiffy seed starter mix with a good bit of perlite, worm castings, and 2 tablespoons of Happy Frog natural organic fertilizer. I ran out of small pots so cut some water bottles and covered them in duct tape. Planted 2 seeds of TH Seeds Lambo AKA Rambo (reg). We'll see how the mix works out...

It is hard not to get excited about new things, your girls are lookin way better. I'm sure they will reward you greatly in a couple more months. :weed:

lol, that was one of the first videos I watched on Youtube when I began researching for my first grow.. It definitely helped me (being someone who knew absolutely nothing about growing). My first grow is going alright... Almost WEEK 6 of flowering-mode =D

rambo seeds be expensive. >.<

I am kinda regretting buying seeds early. I could of gotten 22 seeds (10 reg and 12 fem) for 80. Instead I bought 2 seeds fem and got one fem freebie for 40 dollars plus shipping.

That means I basically spent 13 dollars a seed. When i could of gotten 22 seeds for less than 4 dollars a seed.

I got the Rambos as freebies...that attitude june promo gave me tons of seeds, mostly feminized. Only actually paid for a few.

Looks like you'll be taking some clones!! Hope you're good at it ;)

I'm terrible so far, but hope to take some lol

Y!kes.. I didn't know seeds could be so expensive. I guess I'm pretty lucky, I got all my seeds from a friend (all bag seed though. I'm not sure what strain or how potent my plants will be)...

Is Rambo Seeds the only place you've purchased from?
