I PH my water to 6.8 every time! I also use 1 TBS dolomite lime/gallon of soil. Never had an issue until now. LOL However I recently read to use 1oz of lime/gallon.
I dusted the top of the 2 smaller girls with another tbs or so.
I'll add some more to the Lemon Haze before the next watering. I hope it helps BEFORE it's too late though!

Have been reading a few articles claiming that the "trichome theory" is bull and not an accurate way to tell when MJ is done. What did people use before microscopes anyway? MJs been around for many thousands of years! Rather not spend money if it's not needed. Going to judge them by whether or not the swelling has stopped, orange hairs laying against the bud, and a golden coloring to the crown of the bud.
Also...I have not seen any with the proper zoom for under 5 bucks! Don't think they're that cheap where I'm at...but even if so, I'll pass!

Lady J you suprise me...my "teacher" told me once what the.... you know what good shit look's like..and you know what crap look's like don't pick crap!! or when it's done it's done and there is no arguing going on!!Color Texture Squeeze and smell all tell you the same thing when it's done!!!! I understand guy's having more difficulty due to the lack of being able to read sutiltie's and hint's were dence ladie's aren't...use you keen sence's I have a scope somwhere...When you open the door and they sparkle and look as though they will burst and have that special overpowering smell the color's one her bud's are vibrent alive almost moving take her down and enjoy what she has done!!

Decided that I'm going to post some of the research I do here as somewhere to keep a reference for myself and other people who might be interested.
I've been noticing that the Dutch Passion Blueberry seedling I have looks a little odd compared to the others....it has a kind of "droopy" look to it, and the leaves have a twist. Decided I would dig around and see if I could find if this was strain related, bad seed, or a potential problem with the soil / Ph that's for some reason affecting just this one plant.
Here is what Dutch Passion has to say about Blueberry: Blueberry is a heavily resinous mostly indica strain (80%), mainly consisting of an Afghani indica, the sativa genetics predominantly come from a Thai sativa and, to a minor degree, also from an Oaxacan (Mexican) sativa. These three truebred parental lines, old landraces that date back to the 70ies, represent the genetic framework for every member of the Blue Family. The Original Blueberry's participations in the High Times Cannabis Cup have been crowned with great success: In the year of 2000, it impressively dominated the competition, winning both the overall Cannabis Cup and the indica category. In the following year, Blueberry took second place in the overall Cup and third place in the indica category. With a THC content of 19.5%, measured by an independent laboratory, Blueberry belongs to the group of strains that have to be considered very strong. But nevertheless its high is expected to be clear and euphoric rather than devastating.
Ok, so obviously that didn't help much. Went fishing around for what other people who have grown her before have said and this is what I found:
So seems to be mixed feelings about blueberry. Some say it's bomb and grows easy, others say it's a shit plant from a shit seed company lol. I guess the only way to know is to grow it out for myself. Even if it is the crinkled leaf pheno or mutated, will still give her a go!
She's kind of small...but I attribute that to an early N deficiency and being in the most horrible of mixes (Jiffy's seed starting mix). Have never seen such a hydrophobic mix in my life! Have since transplanted to a Happy Frog / Ocean forest + worm castings + additional perlite mix. She's 19 days old...

I bought 2 fem seeds from Attitudes Pick n Mix. DP must have changed their strain since the trouble the guys above had because the plants I have growing are the most beautiful I've grown, the only anomoly is 6 bud nodes. Really, realy, really cool. I've heard the gnarled leaf and hard to grow stories too, maybe DP has just improved their strain - I've read that they us DJ Short's strain.
I've got 3 flowering in aero, 1 in DWC, & 1 in B'Cuzz (all at 4 weeks); a mother vegging in aero and two cuttings rooting in a bubbler.
I find it very easy to grow so far, but this is my first grow of it. If the buds fill out anything like the plants veg they be amazing, there's already massive trichnome production.

Lady J, you aren't supposed to use nutrients for the first two weeks of a seedlings life. It might just be a slower growing strain. That's fucked up about it possibly herming on you in the future. Good luck!

It's cotelcydon (sp) leaves were yellowing...definitely deficient. Only not supposed to give nutes to seedlings if the medium they are in already has nutes. Otherwise you have to give them nutes...or you get a small 20 day year old plant like this! As you can see, it has no nute burn whatsoever. Any plant can hermie in the future so not too worried about it. Pulled a couple balls off my Sour Kush the other day...caught it try to hermie. No signs of seeds though so it's all good.

Personally I wouldn't have given it nutes, the rest of the plant looks fine. This current batch of plants I was starting I had one that just looked yellow compared to all the others. I knew better that the soil mix was fine and if anything it was a plant issue. Eventually the plant took off on its own and the color adjusted over time. I'll have to look for the pic of her

She's called Budziller and just in her 5th week of flower... THC rating 25% currently looking like it has about 2 ounces and I'm expecting (hoping lol) it to double up by home-time!
For the onlookers - she was vegged and trained for about 2 months, with 1x RED 125w CFL and two BLUE 30w CFL's. She's now being flowered under a 600w HPS

I don't get it, why not give it nutes? It was yellowing and stopped growing. When I gave it nutes, the yellowing stopped spreading and the plant started growing! If you look at the first pic above, the baby leaves are completely yellow... before, the rest of the plant used to be a super light green. Now the leaves have a nice color and the yellowing stayed on only the baby leaves. And notice, there is no nute burn at all! It's pretty difficult to burn plants with organics...and if your soil mix has no nutes whatsoever in it, your plants will not thrive. Of course if your soil already has nutes in it, it would not be a good idea to fertilize or you can burn the plants. Otherwise, you must give nutes, just like Coco, which has no ferts, is pure coco husks. I found that out with black gold soil...had to use organic ferts to save my plants and get them to grow with that mix as well.
This is the blueberry the same day I transplanted it into soil w/ nutes after noticed it was yellowing. The next pic is 4 days after putting it in the organic soil mixed with organic ferts:
15 days and just that scraggly plant! 4 days with nutes and look how much better it looks and how much more growth has occurred.

My word on seedling nutes.
Big no no!
I do give mine some rooting hormone in minimal doses, but that is it. At least until I see good green foliar growth. Then I'll start with very small amounts of nutrient.
My reasoning behind this, is that they grow perfectly fine in the wild with just dirt and water... and as long as they sprout enough branches for me to get my yummy colas onto, then I don't care how quick or slow it took to get big enough.
I've had hermys, and it really wasn't nice at all

I know you're right, you should be able to see what your girl is doing by simply looking at her.
Your problem here - is that you are growing out multiple strains and are a relatively new grower. THC contents of trichomes and timing of them appearing, is a unique thing for each different strain. In my humble opinion, one CAN know when an MJ lady is done, but first you must know that strain by having grown it out more than once or twice. Each strain finishes differently.
For you, having a microscope is a must.
I actually have only recently bought my scope, so I've struggled finding out the things that I've found out already. But now I have my scope, I would never want to grow without it!

My Fruit Punch, for instance, has cloudy trichs almost straight away from the start of flower! They turn brown almost 5/6 weeks in. This is still far too early, but having kept one plant on for longer than 8 weeks already, I know now that I can actually harvest that strain from 7 weeks onward but will be strongest at 9/10.
My cheese trichs however... don't turn cloudy until like the 7th week or so. then they only start turning brown at around 9. Cheese cannot be harvested any earlier...
Now I know these things after several grows of the same strains and having used my scope and borrowed other peoples for testing with, I no longer need one for these strains
