Im gonna wait till next year to try out my la chocolat? Looks like thier are two pheno. I think the real keeper are the one thats in the middle. Fast veger with compact structure. Hope this freebie becomes dank next year. Good luck guys

Starting to frost up in week 2

Ill post pictures of mine in a few days, its about a week or so from the chop, topped once, 2 huge colas, grown in a 2l hempy. (freebie from attitude)

Yield looks good, i'd estimate around 20-25g dry, which is above average for my 2l hempys

Here are some pics for ya. I took them this morning . This is day 36 of 12/12. The big one on the left is the LA Choc (height is 5.5 ft minus the pot ), plant on right is the White widow (started later but not a stretcher like the LA Choc).

Looks like a decent yielder an smells super strong like a very strong sweetish sour smell like a sweet diesel smell. I only got 1 seed as a freebie and it looks to be a keeper so I give the la chocolat a 10 outta 10 DNA seeds all the way I gotta purple wreck that's a keeper too off just a picknmix tite frostie nugs that are getting purple hues just like the discription said

I hear ya Fined90. This La Choc is some top shelf stuff. I took a little sample bud at day 46 of 12/12. Still a long ways to go at that point. The quality and potency was surprising. I have the Chocolope pheno and it finished at 5.5 ft. From that little trial nug , all I can say is that there is reason this strain parentage is so well reviewed .

Getting close now . By my estimates about 7-10 days until harvest day. Top cola is a little bit behind in overall ripening. Plenty of pistils . Most of which seem white at this moment in time. I did notice some more bud formation in the last week . I now think the final 3 - 4 weeks is when the bud show really begins. Now it is just a matter of a final flushing or two before chop time . This is my first time using a 600w light . I have used 400w before for all my grows. What I can say it that the difference is like night and day . Never have I had bud density as thick and compact as with the 600w system. I wont be going back to anything less in the future.

Alright pritty damn close to pullin her been flushing for a week so as soon as i can find the strength I'm pullin her, it's hard sometimes when u grow a plant for 6 months y'all kno I kept a clone thou so she'll be backresin production is amazing sticky as hell, along with the super pungent sourish sweet fruity smell.I noticed the tips turning purple so Im jus kinda waitin on that looks beautiful the purplish blues yumm I luv this time a year, as well I want a heavy high so I'm waiting till 50/50 amber well I hope y'all had as good a year as I did knock on wood I still have a few out later guys an the occasional girl.

Your buds are looking pretty there Fined90. That sour sweet fruit smell you mention is just like my choc bud about to finish. Just stick your nose close the bud and a earth fruity aroma fills your senses . Lovely lovely smell. Ok, so my LA Choc is now at day 65 of flowering. By my count day 73 in 12/12. So give or take a 7 for flowering proper to begin. This plant is a monster. Could be the biggest I have ever grown. It will go another 7-10 days to get her top buds nicely finished. I took a sample bud last weekend. Wow. This is some upbeat almost blissful weed. Really like it . Harvest and cure is just days away now .........

I will update this with a picture at some later point, but I will add that since I flipped my LA Chocolat around around a week and a half ago she has become one massive sturdy beast of an indica. Very thick stem, huge heavy leaves, and sturdy branching. Probably nearly doubled in size as well. Bud production is just beginning to set in. Also has a very heavy and dark afghani kush scent when fussed with. Pleased so far, but we'll see how flowering goes. I also kept clones, they took a while to root but are now throwing off roots.

Sounds like ya got the LA Confidential pheno there dude. I got the Chocolope one. Much taller and really only one main heavy cola. I will be really interested in hearing a smoke report later on your plant..

I'm not home, so I don't have any pics with me to upload.. But I am on my second LA Chocolat grow now. This has become my favorite strain! Taste is beyond amazing. The high second to none. The pheno I'm running is the shorter LA Con dominant. Crystal production is out of this world. I very highly recommend!!!

Hmmm mines just under 4 weeks from harvest... smells amazing but yield doesn't look like it's going to stack up against the blue mystic, Emerald jack or Mastodon kush. .. took clones incase before flowering

This is my La Chocolat from feminized seed. A freebie. She is 12 weeks from seed or so under half of a 4 foot 4bulb t5 light. Not Scrog but likewise. She was started on spoiled canna bio not bad but not good. has just been switched to fresh good Nut's 10 days or so ago so she is looking nice I expect maybe 2 -3 ounces of this lady.

She smells like Pez or melons its hard to decide which hahaha. I don't detect much of any earthy or chocolate notes so I think she takes after the Melon Haze in her lineage.

I was actually just about to revive this thread, and I didn't even have to look for it!
My LA Chocolat is straight up melons and broadleaf kush (not OG kush) and it smells wonderful.
This one bean has more or less sold me on DNA still being able to put out some serious fire.
Anyways....behold....Frostillicus!

I will second that. LA Choc is one of the best strains ever grown or smoked. Taste is rich and the smoke is expansive leaving you in no doubt this is high quality stuff. Very few strains I will grow again and again. LA Choc is one of them.
