LA Chocolat - 5 weeks veg - Roots are acting weird !

This morning I checked on my plants and noticed that the roots in one of the LA choc females had grown through the bottom water lead off holes in it's container. I originally thought it was was string or something but I checked and saw the roots were coming out from the very bottom of the pot. This is really really weird to me. I can see that happening if left vegging for 2 months or more, but at only 5 weeks in ?.

600w mh
Soil grown with Fox farms ocean grow potting soil
Plant is 5 weeks vegging
Feeding is 1/2 recommended dosage
Container is 5 gallon
lighting 18/6

I guess the qst becomes how do I deal with the root growth coming out of bottom of container now?. Transplanting is a non runner , as my 14 years of growing have shown me that plants at this stage of growth will fare badly if moved into bigger pots . I wonder if the exposed roots will do ok with the runoff water in the saucer beneath the pot? Will the light damage them .....or would maybe covering them from the light above help any..... Now I will definately start flowering very soon to avoid any root ball issues from excessive veg growth .....I included a pic of the plant taken earlier...thx

Bring back overgrow. com........my word bring it back ......please bring it back ........for veteran growers out there ....you will know what I am talking about ......the good ole days of growing .....growers spreading good karma by helping everyone ....but put a wacky grower thread on rollitup.org of some 150w grow in a dog kennel with qsts on micronutrient def in seedlings .....lolol.....and you get a million replies ....but then again the advent of LED lights has brought ganja growing into the space age......lolol .......My word ....the community has changed so much

Not really. I have read numerous other posts on this site that voice the exact same sentiments. Possibly, the ole post count and karma grade is more prevalent here than other sites. Shame really. Well for anybody that offered help .......good luck to you in your grows . ......peace out !

if there isn't too many other plants around then that plant is root bound. transplant to seven galloner give one week to adjust and flower also plants have feelings and don't like having their roots snipped.
