KushCaptin's Organic 400Watt 3'x2'x5' Stealth Indoor Scrog Tent Grow

Hay everybody this is my second grow in my apt. The first grow was in a small 21"x18"x46" U-Haul coat hanger box with a home made CFL light that i built with about 200 Watts. Witch is in the drying/curing process at the moment. However after i got my taxes back i bought a few more better things for the second try. Hear is a list of my goodies.

Aviditi PTU-68 Mylar Reflective Hydroponic Grow Tent with T-Zipper, 36" Wide by 20" Deep by 63" High
Apollo Horticulture 400 Watt MH HPS Grow Light System Set Kit
VenTech 6" Duct Booster Inline Blower Fan For light/tent exhaust
2 small about 6" fans for circulation
NuTone ValueTest 50 CFM Wall/Ceiling Mount Exhaust Bath Fan From HomeDepot For intake
Fox Farms Ocean Forest Potting soil Mixed 75%-25% Perlite
2 6 Gallon buckets

I think that's everything but you never know so ill keep the list updated. My plan is to grow two plants in 6 gallon buckets scrog method from the eight bag seeds that i planted. I have already germinated 8 seeds in a cup of water for 2 day, 6 of the seeds shot out roots in the cup of water. I put all 8 in a wet paper towel in between 2 glass plates for a day or 2 (I think haha) then on February 13 i planted the 6 that took in plastic cups. 4 days later i checked the paper towel witch still had the 2 not-germinated seeds in it and the the seeds took so i planted them. All in all i'm more than happy that i have 8 little plants that are 5 weeks old now to date.I still need to sex my plants then pick the two strongest females to scrog. I also have to build a scrog screen so i would love input on building materials and info on what a good way to build a drain tray for my two 5 gal. buckets. Ill be sure to upload pictures and add more info/questions periodically as i'm sure i will have lots of questions and need lots of help.

Hey KushCaptin, how's the build quality of the tent? Decent grow tents seem hard to come by in Canada (shipping is expensive) and I've seen a bunch of those Aviditi on sale on amazon.ca for decent prices.

Hay geero the quality for my purpose seems to be great minimum light leakage the vent holes are a bit tight but you can jam your air pipes through them easy enough the only thing i dont like is there seems to be a bit of light leakage thought the top part of the zipper but i plan on fixing that with a few snaps you get at Home Depot. ill try to remember to post a few picks tomorrow.

Hey man, I have this exact same tent. I set it up but haven't started yet still doing some research. I noticed that the top support bars are a bit flimsy and read somewhere that someones lights fell onto their plants. So they suggested using bungee cords.. Excited to see how it turns out!

I have the same also and its gonna fill up really fast with that many plants in there. I was doing 3 last time and had problems with space after a 2.5 week veg.

So I upgraded to a 3x5

Yeah idk i saw the same thing said but still bought it and i don't see how its thant flimsy i mean you don't want to pull on your rope that u have connected to it but with my light i wouldn't ever see it just falling down from the light even if it was twice the weight.

Yeah i plan on just taking hopefully 2 females out cause there all just from bag seeds so idk what sex they are yet and i plan on doing a scrog with two six gallon buckets and my two most healthy beautiful women!

That's a good call two kind of works perfectly in that space as long as you don't veg them too long, which is easy to do accidentally in that tent
