I worry about the SS and cutting down the HS flower time. Too much of the SC and you lose what makes the HS so special. I love the strawberry, but in that cross I would definitely want to see the Snow shine.

I think I am letting my blackjack bias effect my vote! I might have to put her 3rd or 4th the more I look at the LA and KC runs. I'm gonna have to say BBK, KCSpec, and LASun. I will of course change my mind a few more times! Peace

Damn KC! Looking good brother, those are some mouthwatering strains you've got with unbelievable lineage man. Personally I almost cried when I saw the LASK, can not wait for some of that it just sounds too good to be true, If I were to make a second and third choice it would easily be blackjack og18 and KCs special kush of coursekiss-ass
keep on keepin on man!

Gonna post a shot of the OG18`s result, just snagged a few from the new batch that were curing will post it up shortly. Hoping to get the best of both world in the SS cross. If I can get the right amount of taste from the first cross, I may BX to the HS to keep more of it`s Sativa intact. Flowering time will be my concern ... Thanks again Stoney

Thanks Cali, the BJOG and BBK should be first to finish up as their flower times are conveniently short and cross times should be much less than the Sativa dom stuff. Will grow some out with journals if I can get good crosses. Post here of course as we go :)

Here`s the OG18 nug I referenced, used in the crosses. This is a secondary cola, weighs 8.1g for reference,

... will have to upgrade cameras soon, these pics just don`t do it justice. VERY dense stuff and smells of coffee, and skunky earth. Beauty. Keep it green,

Looks amazing either way, any 8g nug that size is incredibly dense, I would have expected it to be 4 grams at most. I am currently in the works of a strain myself, I'll be sure to get you some beans when its all said and done KC, should be a beauty.

I am going to cross the GSC with either my sherb or a different strain I wont mention and cross that with a friends personally created strain, should be a heavy yielding gsc dom strain that is super fire and finishes like an indica;

Nice choice Cruzin, having only 1 Sativa breed on hand currently is allowing for lots of dedication to be thrown her way. Hoping to branch out the Sativas as well in the future with Super Silver Haze and some Thai genetics. The goal will be to be able to flower any Sativa from the catalogue indoors just as well as outdoors
. Stay tuned!
Why is it that I just saw this? this sounds like its right up my alley :)

You can see my thumb pinching rather hard in the pic, haha, as not to drop it. Has carmel coloured swirls in it with purple-ish green leaf tinges ... like I said, need a better camera...

As for that cross you`re working on, I`ll PM ya ;)

For sure man, looks like you are holding on quite sternly. That OG-18 sounds just amazing, as for the BJOG does it have the same qualities? (caramel colour and purple tinges)
The cross should be ready in june, I am shooting for a girl scout dominant strain with a bigger yield and less time to finish as well as some other specific traits I wont list. When it's done it should be an easy to grow, big yielding hybrid with high potency and flavor as well as noob friendly pest/mold resistant hardy little girl with amazing colors/aroma

EDIT: can't believe I forgot to add, if you are going to go with some thai lineage, I would HIGHLY (get it?) recommend purple thai, it was my first grow and my lord, some of the best smoke I have ever had, even with the mite problem I had during flowering, lol.

*I just went to check on my plants and all of a sudden I just see a swarm of spidermites all over my hygrometer under the girl scout. They are little red guys, I freaked and grabbed my neem oil spray and soaked every single plant thoroughly, I am picking up a hotshot no pest strip tommorow morning as well as some lady bugs, luckily I caught the bastards early on.

Hey all, little bump. Lots of progress in the crops, Jack, Burmese come out this week, beans should be developing withing a few a month or two for the first rounds of crosses. Working double-time working out how to go about the LASK (think now I`ll have to use the steady BuKu male to pollinate both strains and cross the resultings), cut is shaping up to be a 50% BuKu, 25% La Con, 25% BD. The BJOG and progressive selection for the KCSK are first up right now ... but still deciding on how we roll afterwards with respects to the Blackberry, SS, and LASK ...

Get those votes in guys, any and all feedback is appreciated. Will get some shots up of the crosses as we work them later into flower, keep you guys in the loop. Keep it green,

I really like the tentative percentages on LASK KC, sounds like a perfect offset of effects there and as far as structure goes the affie in the LA con should offset the BD lanky tendencies to make it a PERFECT Scrog candidate for the indoor growers.... cant wait man!!! ;)

A little hectic, but tis the life right? :D

Will be harvesting the Jacks that didn`t make it as top male/female as well as the BuKu run at end of week. Used my best BuKu male pollen that pollinated the best JH we had of the 9 potentials. Will grow them back out when the seeds are ready and see how they look, either going to BX for stability, or if we find a great male, will be pollinating my prized OG18 ... BJOG will probably be first finished, planted HS, Tahoe OG, and a few other things just this last weekend, so there`s lots to look after. Hoping to pop the Blue Dreams by mid-June to get that run on the go as well (should have the Dominas, SC`s, and a couple other Kushes mostly done by then)

Please get some votes in guys, doesn`t warrant a reply post necessarily, just a vote. Have a say in what you want on the market. For growers, by growers. Easy, and keep it green guys,

Thanks for checking in guys! Checked out that BJ that Sativa offers ... not a fan of 11 week flowers, not in my campaign ;). I use a similar BD pheno, but use straight Sensi Jack and the BX to my OG ... Can`t say until I`m through ... but I know where`d lean personally (maybe I`m biased), haha. Beauty guys, thanks for the input. Busy over the next few weeks getting everything in order with the first runs, will try to post up some tease and check in when I can. Keep it green!

Hey KC - I'am late to the party as usual!

I bet you are very busy. This breeding thing is going to keep me busy until I die :)

As for my pick - you know me, I am a Sativa fan so it is SS all the way :)

Pick up a Samsung WB150F camera. They are cheap and you can get great macro shots.

I moved 18 of my rapid rooters from the dome to small pots. I will be posting pics on my thread shortly.

Cheers,
Mo

Always glad to have you and your experience Mo! Checked out that camera, looks excellent, you have one I`d assume? Thought I saw you recommend one out to DST perhaps. You`ll be plenty busy with your backyard let alone the breeding, haha

I`ll likely be on this breeding thing til I die as well man, seriously addictive to make your own creations out of a field of potentials ... Like Harvard trying to choose academic students ... and I`m the Dean of Admissions

Testing...testing...

edit- it works! Lol. Hope you dont mind KC, linked your journal in my sig as well.
Will never mind that Steelie, always appreciate your support brother :D
