Salutations,
I started my second grow about 3 weeks 2 days ago, just got around to starting a journal so i can share and get any useful, constructive advice. I grow one plant at a time for personal use and I feel that pouring all my efforts into one plant and having it turn out super dank would be better/ less risky than growing 5 plants each of which were mid grade. so Let me give you the low...
She is a random seed I found in a bag of 30/60 and I've got it hooked up on a hyro drip right now. Nutes are mixed at quarter strength. When I first mixed I did half strength (mistake which I learned from ), she got some nute burn and I had to chop some fan leaves that were more than 50% afflicted but she's made a nice recovery and is back on the fast track to being smoked.

Lights run 24 hours a day, nutes turn on 3 times daily for 1 hour, and I've got an oscillating fan going all day as well. Ph is kept at about 6 to 6.5 and she is in perlite with a layer of river rock on top (I find the river rock on top of the perlite distributes the water better than just perlite). I've got 4 cfl's throwing 2,200 lumens each total of 8,800 as well as a 750 lumen plant fluro. When flowering time comes around I will be switching to 4 50 watt HPS bulbs throwing 5,000 lumens each, total of 20,000 lumens

Pics will be updated weekly, please feel free to comment and share. I'm inexperienced but have done decades of research lol. Let's see what we can do with this betch!

Update:

Yo, transferred my girl to a 5 gallon bucket, still perlite, river rock on top with a drip system 3 times daily for 1 hour. Lights still on 24hrs. nutes still mixed at 1/4 strength.

As you'll notice tho I made a pulley plank with some new CFL's mounted to it.
Got 4: 42 watt; 2700 lumen and 4: 29 watt; 2150 lumen cfl's hooked up for a grand total of 19,400 lumens 8-)

Pics below (nute burn on leaves looks nastay)... and... is anybody even reading this.... :?

Will update soon! :)

I make a hole in the tube no larger the the tip of a pen, just get a hole small enough to barely shove something through (as dirty as that sounds lol). The n I use "Rain Bird" spot watering emitters. They pump 1 Gal. Per hour but I have my pump flow pretty low so it gets about half that, and with two of them there that makes a solid 1 Gallon per hour (3.78 Liters). I leave alot of time between feedings tho so she won't get wet feet. Pics below (gawd those bottom fan leaves are nasty)...

Yo everyone, sorry for the late updates, just been busy with the holidays and alot of family shit. These pics are old, I believe taken December 22nd, still on the 1/4 strength nutes, but she is still getting nute burn like a motherfucker!! Other than that smooth sailing, newer pics in the post below...

These are the newest pics, taken today. Changed the nutes out (at the ten day mark), this time knocked the mix waaaaayy down half table spoon to 3 gallons of water, hopefully that will take care of the nute burn once and for all Same lighting, ph at 6.5. Bucket on second to the last pic looks fucked up cause I distorted the adress on the side for security purposes

Week 6, lookin pretty good, nute burn is slowly vanishing and she is really filling in. I believe I found just the right mix of nutes finally... finally! Like a half tablespoon to every 3 gallons and a fraction of a tespoon epsom salt). Same lights, same ph (6.5), and same medium, check for updates, this thang is growing like a mutant!!! :o

Yo man, thanks for checkin out the shrubbery and commenting! I don't have a name on this one but from what I remember, it was some daaaaank shit! I think drip is def a great system, it has been for me at least. I just use good ole Bachman's Excel Grow, it's a 15-35-15. I mix a half tablespoon to every 3 gallons of water. I also add about a teaspoon of epsom salt for magnesium. I'm sure you'd be fine doing more than a half tbsp per 3 gal. I just went really diluted because I tried half strength of what was instructed and it BURNED the shit out of my girl. So I just stay nice and diluted now. Once I start flowering it will be going to Mighty Bloom, a 10-54-10 with the epsom salts. It's a 4 gallon rubbermaid resivor but I only fill it 3 gallons, fresh nutes every 2 weeks and water level topped off daily. The pump is a tabletop fountain pump, like a dumbass I didn't save the packaging so I don't really have any specs on it. Any pump really works with those spot drip emitters because they only allow 1 gallon per hour no matter how fast the pump is going. All the shit I have though I got from a local Do It Best hardware store. They got that shit on lock!!! Stay green and thanks for checkin my journal! :leaf::leaf::leaf:
