Hi guys ,I'm a relatively new grower 'with 6 grows under my belt I'm looking to go from organic soil grows to dwc hydroponic on my next grow, thinking about doing the 1 part lucas formula with flora nova bloom all through the grow? Anyway! back to the question at hand : would a pain of glass from a old reflector ' ' block a portion of heat if it was suspended above the canopy and below a hps standard cheap shade??
I was thinking about placing one in my homemade tent I constructed out of a old 4x4 tent lol my space I'd 2x4x6 with a 5"rvk extractor&can'filter
Running passive' with a 600hps open hood
I have 4x little fans placed all over to help with movement of air.
My temp's are managable 75% of the time with day temp's 23c/28c & nigh temp's 17c/22c
On a bad day I have spikes of 32c due to ambient temp's rising.
Would placing a fan at one end of the glass panel inbetween the glass and the cheap hood 'with the fan blowing inbetween stopping the direct heat from the 600hps contacting the canopy 12" below?? It works like a air funnel all the way to the carbon filter handing at the end.
I'm going to try it and see , I know by placing a object' between the bulb and my plants will lower LUMENS ' but these sunmaster dulux ate 95'000 lumens so I think a few could be spared in the name of science lol
