Koroku's Indoor Grow! CFL 125 watt Barney's farm L.S.D / LSD

I started a grow a while back (first ever grow) of Barney's farm LSD feminised under a single 125 watt CFL. It has been going for a few weeks errr I'm not really sure how long as I havn't been keeping track of time and cannot remember when i started growing it I have some shitty nutrients that I can give it, but i started in nutrient enriched organic miracle grow compost and so far have not had much signs of any nutrient deficiencies or signs of over/underwatering... guess I'm just a lucky shit haha. The first few weeks of this plants life were very stressfull.. and it was badly damaged by heat, shit soil, nutrient burn (when i first transplanted from the shit soil to the miracle grow I ripped it out of the soil, causing root damage and stuff.. then it got bad nutrient burn and all its leaves shriveled up to a crisp... But luckily it recovered as its a tough plant haha.) So... It feels like its been a long ride and I have learned a lot and finally my plant is growing and looks quite healthy, I have been LST-ing throughout the grow (as you can see its stem is tied down to the soil) and it has developed multiple colas. At this point I am really hoping it doesn't hermie when i start to flower, which should be quite soon maybe in the next week or two. Anyway I have some shitty pictures here for you all of my grow as it stands now!

lol multiple colas. You dont get colas until you flower, dude. It's looking good, and you're right, the LSD can take a ton of abuse. I'd let it chill out another week or two until you start adding any nutes, especially if it's still recovering from some damage and you have slow release ferts in the soil. You want those roots as strong as possible, feeding now may hurt them, especially because it looks pretty healthy. Wait until you see some yellowing before you begin to feed. It looks a tad overwatered too, make sure you're not drowning it. good luck. My LSDs are looking so delicious, you're going to enjoy that smoke

Haha well you know what I mean by multiple colas, I mean like thingies stretching up to the light that will grow bud on them! Yeah, I know about the time released that is why I'm holding off on the fertiliser until the leaves start to yellow a bit. And I guess I'll wait longer to water this time, let it proper dry out :S (I love watering that plant).

Also my plant had a huge growth spurt! It stretched up to the light like craaazy I'll upload pictures later today.

Ok, as promised, here is my plant after quite a big growth spurt and after I have LST'd it once again. I LST quite vigorously but the stem is still very supple and bendy and the plant seems to respond very well to being tied down. Here are some pictures of the LST.

So far so good, started flowering about a week a go! Preflowers showing but no definite pistils yet. Since starting the 12/12 light cycle it has grown soo much! Visible growth can be seen every day. I'll post pictures up at a later date of how my little L.S.D is doing. So excited for the end result! (Also at this stage I have no idea whether it is going to hermie/go completely male on me, really hoping its a full blown female! Fingers crossed.)

any updates mnan? plants were looking good

Well, to be perfectly honest I'm getting a little worried about my baby LSD. Luckily for me, it turns out to be a fully fledged female (wooooo!) but now I'm not so sure the yield or the quality of the smoke will be very good at all . The plant is a very darrrk darrkkk green colour, and has sad droopy leaves. I think this is due to the hot weather as of late. Before, the temperature in the grow room was fine but now I'm pretty sure it's far too hot with the 125 watt CFL running.

Another problem I have is decent plant nutrition. My plant is in an 8.5 litre pot (which should be fine for my relatively small plant) but uses horrid miracle-gro organic potting compost (EUGH) I have also been using Miracle-gro fruit and vegetable liquid plant food (apparently ideal for tomatoes, eugh) with a ratio of 3-2-6, so not ideal for cannabis I think lol (I want a high middle number right? :S)

Anyway, Whenever I fertilise or water, it is like a hopeless guessing game, I ask myself, when should i fertilise? should i fertilise more? Straight water this time? It is quite frankly a miracle that this plant is even alive haha.

If I could have my own way I would at least use canna coco with some clay pebbles as a growing medium, with canna coco A and B fertilisers, but alas, I do not have the money and have to make do with what I have.

Soooo, I have some pictures here of roughly 35 days flowering (I think) Tell me how you think they are getting along, and what measures I can take to help this plant (and get those buds fattening up please, THEY ARE QUITE WORRYINGLY MINISCULE IN SIZE!!!! By Barney's farm calculations, I have 30 days of flowering left, and I hope to god the little girl decides to put on a few ounces in weight haha.


P.S. Sorry about the slightly fuzzy pictures, my camera just doesnt want to auto-focus properly as of late Should have probably taken my time and done manual shots but I'm very impatient when it comes to devices such as cameras, and for that I do apologise.

dude u need to bump those lights up ive heard the cfls dont necesarily produce huge buds...plus i feel like the lsd strain could be a lil unstable...get an hid/hps lamp next time for flowering

I wish I could Yimyames! maybe in 5 years or so when I have more money/space but at the moment all I have are CFL's! At the moment I have one 125 watt red spectrum cfl running. I think I might add my other blue spectrum 125 watt light as well. This will be more than enough lumens per square foot for decent growth! I think the real problem is my grow medium and fertiliser problem. (Also the heat in my little growroom is unbearable for my hand when I am working on the plant so I'm sure the little thing doesnt like it that hot either lol)


Is there anyway to "MAKE" my own phosphorus nutrients from things around the home? Like groceries or something? As this is the only nutrient I am lacking in I think and I would be very interested in ways I can remedy this rather than buying commercial fertilisers. Thankyou for your reply yimyames. I'm sure all of us would go HPS if we could! But my size/money/stealth limitations means I have to settle for CFL's. ONE DAY THOUGH!!! One day I will grow the meanest green the world has ever seen!

Shit... Came home today to find something shocking in my growroom.....

My little LSD was crying out in pain... ALL THE FAN LEAVES ARE DEAD... Looked like a serious case of nute burn. Serves me right for using miracle gro nutes with the wrong NPK for cannabis.

So basically I flushed the soil with warmish water until the runoff was pretty much clear. I also cut off all the dead leaves. The only leaves that are left in working order are the leaves on the bud (sugar leaves I think they are called)

Next week I am getting some biobizz nutes, grow and bloom. Should I wait until then (won't the soil contain no nutrients now that I have flushed?) Or add some miracle grow nutes to get it through to next week. At the moment I have just flushed and then put it back in the grow room. My plan is to just water with straight water until next week (monday/tuesday) when I will recieve correct nutrients for my baby.

This grow has definitely been tough, I have learned a heck of a lot. My next grow shouldnt have these problems lol.

My LSD has suffered with- a shitty lst job- nute burn- heat stress- phosphorus deficiency... I just hope I can remedy this and get it back to health. This is not where I want to be at 40 days flowering lol....

fuck yea thats the spirit. proper grow medium, fertilizer, and ventilation will help more than u can imagine. also proper pot size comes into play if ur growing with soil.

woops i replied to ur previous post before ur last one. sounds like a myriad of problems...flush baby flush. get them stable again without nutes then start on a very light nutrient regiment and see how they do

Ok, well I'm pretty sure my LSD plant is now dead.... Just too hot in the growroom I think I hooked fans in there to blow on the plants but there is no definate "extractor fan" although there is areas where air can leave. This summer has been a right bitch on my plant Before the hot summer came they were growing beautifully and the temperature in the grow room seemed fine! BAHHH I HATE HOT WEATHER!

I flushed the medium but now (following day) the plant is all shriveled up and crusty dry.... I think this may be due to having no LARGE fan leaves anymore and so it could not deal with the heat as well? Don't know if that makes sense lol.... But this sucks! I'll give it a few days and see if things improve. If it just keeps drying out then i might as well give it the chop and dry the little (and obviously not very potent) bud I have and start a new grow.

I think that a new plant will deal with the heat better in vegetative stage? then by the time I'm flowering the weather will have cooled down considerably. Next grow I will also be using proper nutes as well, so should see a huge improvement over this crappy first grow!

EVERYONE PRAY FOR MY LSD! haha, although I think it might be too late

Whoops forgot to post pictures :S well I harvested and dried what was on the plant (hardly anything).

So, because my plant died of overheating, I'm going to order an extractor fan with some ducting. Do you think a 125mm extractor fan will provide enough air movement to cool down two 125watt cfl's? (at the moment I just have a fan in the growroom, circulating air but no extraction).

The heat in my grow room at the moment is enough to fry a cannabis plant (which is what happened) and hot enough to feel uncomfortable for my hand to be in there. It also was too hot for my yeast (for extra co2) to produce much co2 at all, they just kind of did nothing (slowed down by the heat i think).

So basically my plant got dried up and shriveled to the point of no return by the heat So i harvested what was on her. It will probably have crappy potency, and from what I can see this is not much weed! lol. It's just too bad this had to happen 25 days b4 harvest time.

Most of the weight/potency happens in the last 25 days of flower lol I'm deeply sad about this.

If anyone could respond to this post/previous post, I would be grateful, thank you.
