Got the Koi in the basement for the winter. As I am new to Organic gardening (or anything other than basics of gardening) I am curious how, or if, I can use this water to nourish my grows? Looking for info on methods, processes and tips.

The "pond" is alread59321487_344289866226368_7890802310933118976_n.jpg y heavily airated with a PH of aprox 6.4. Fully cycled- 0 ammonia or nitrites. Heavy on the Phosphates and nitrates usually. Their water is changed as needed with RO/DI water with no additions other than koi foods.

Trying to figure out if I can use strait, mix with anything, use as a compost tea or add mollassis and continue to arerate for a period of time- Or just not bother to use completely. Best during veg, flower, or both/neither? Any shared info will help, thx.

Great idea.People do have grows like this right on top of their fish, but Im not sure how.I have a 30gal freshwater aquarium that I will soak and bubble the dirty filter. (to keep it fresh,to use when I need) I think there was a member who fubard a few of his plants with water straight from the aquarium.I'd be hesitant about doing that or recommending it.You do bring up a interesting point about no ammonia/nitrates.It should work lol.Hope to read other replies.
And I only use my filter water during veg.

I used it already on my last grow, through the flower stage. I used it as a base and added select advanced nutrients and mollasis to it the whole way, strait out of the tank. I would say it worked well, but really have no clue....could have been the very mild dosed of Big bud, overdrive or the bud candy I added to it along with the M3 soil I used.

I got 11oz off of 8 plants that had very little training and only vegged for a month before going into flower. They were all less than 18" tall at finish.

Really hoping to hear more info on tried and true methods or methods that have already been established as correct and useful- or even the best or most efficiant way of using this water.
